SHOW-ME THE START OF OBAMACARE IN MISSOURI AND FEDERAL HEALTH EXCHANGES COMING SOON!!!

Like it or not, Obamacare is the law of the land and here's the latest advance in the legislation right here in the Show-Me State . . .

Federal government will start setting up Missouri's health exchange

There's also the hope that state-based exchanges might be back on the table if Missouri can stop throwing a hissy fit the second somebody mentions Prez Obama's name.

  2. At least it is not Jay Nixon and some insurance lobbyists setting it up. It has a better chance of working.

  5. I find the whole exchange concept amusing. Exchanges come about voluntarily when buyers and sellers wish to interact with one another. Central planners building an exchange of buyers forced to be there and a select group of pre approved sellers is laughable. Everything available on the "exchange" is already available on the sellers' websites or over the phone. Have we lost our ability to comparison shop?

  6. Unfortunately, Congress has not appropriated funds for a federal exchange. In an odd twist to the Affordable Care Act, funding was provided to help states set up their own exchanges, but nothing was provided to fund a federal exchange.

  7. I can't wait to start paying more "tax" for obamacare and get by benefits cut. I especially can't wait to see the faces on all my stupid liberal democrat "friends" when they finally realize they got screwed by voting for their "man"

  9. Obama care has got more holes in it than swiss cheese. All the insurance companies are doing is limiting the contract payout on services through medical facilities which is going to shift the burden of making up the difference right to the patient who can't afford it. Just research the fraud, bloated fake ass billing schemes and shenanigans already being pulled by H.C.A, the largest health care operation in the country. More welfare, more bankruptcies, more food stamps, more profit for insurance companies, less profit for small business and more of the same old broken assed healthcare system

  11. it's sad that so many people want the government to be their daddy. most people really are too stupid to take care of themselves and willing to trade their freedom for a little handout. the central planners are laughing all the way to the bank...

  13. The insurance companies are the ones robbing us blind. Talk about makers and takers. They don't make shit, don't provide shit, and when it comes to you needing treatment, they say fuck off, you ain't getting shit. Hopefully state exchanges will be the stepping stone to a later, national exchange, and then to a single payer system.

  14. 2:11 - So you think the government can make things magically "free"??

Congratulations! YOU are the problem!! Please stop voting.

  15. Amazing how you read things into my comment for me, thanks so much. And yes, I realize that the Republican strategy requires all non-ignorant voters to stop voting. How did that work for you last week? A government sponsored non-profit national exchange would cut health costs dramatically, while extending coverage further to Americans in need of health care. It would also greatly reduce the deficit. But hey, let's keep getting screwed by the death-by-spreadsheet insurance industry. Congratulations, you vote against your own best economic interests. YOU are the problem, stupid shit.

    2. Now that sounds like talking points. The CBO said that Obamacare will raise taxes once implemented. Does that mean it'll be cheaper on lGand but our taxes will go up to pay. This is definitely a work in progress.

  20. It's such a wonderful idea. Iam just sorry the politicians that voted it in were going to be covered by it.

  22. I have spent a ton of time over the years in Canada (the women are not fat up there, unless its an American woman on a business trip)

Any way Canadians don't like socialized medicine, at least most of them!! Many Canadians cross the boarder to get American care.

But here is the thing with Obama care you will still have the right to get additional private insurance at your own cost (just like in Canada) so if you are rich you have nothing to worry about, and if you are poor under socialized medicine, well you may be getting false hope!

Many poor Canadians have died waiting for treatment! Again if you have money you have nothing to worry about!! However before the idea of Obama care many Americans without insurance have died because they were not treated the same as someone with insurance....so really what will change???
