ReplyDeleteReed and the other east side councilmembers have done and are doing absolutely nothing which in any way addresses the violence in their districts. And neither are any of the other east side "leaders", in spite of making some claims in the media.
ReplyDeleteIt's hands-off by the KCPD because they know that there's no support of bearing down on the part of the elected and appointed officials on the police board and at city hall, so as usual, what residents are left living east of Troost are left to pretty much to try to defend themselves.
And all the claims, programs, new departments, grand press conferences, and all the rest is nothing more than the same old PR crap.
By the way, how are we coming with the streetcar, new downtown hotel, and removing traffic signals?
What a pathetic excuse for a city government.
Do people not understand that these inner city shitheads are going to continue to kill each other no matter what we do? Build all of the community centers you want and all of the other projects that waste tax dollars. Its a way of life for these ghetto fucks and unfortunately its not going to change.. This tells me that neither Chief Forte and his changes, and ALonzo Washington's self-congratulatory efforts have NO IMPACT on the murder rates in Kansas City.
