"Civility is very important to the Congressman because he feels things are not getting accomplished in Washington because acrimony and fiery rhetoric are ruling the day. He respects the differences between the two parties and believes there is common ground on which to move forward, if both sides will sit down together, talk, and work through some of these very difficult issues."
More than any other Kansas City politico . . . Congressman Cleaver is putting KC on blast at the Convention and we're looking forward to his remarks.

The comparisons of Nazis and Hitler to the Republicans seems to be an emerging theme from this Democratic convention. Yesterday, a top Democratic delegate from Kansas compared Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan to Hitler. The day before, a Democratic delegate from California compared Ryan to Nazi Joseph Goebbels.

ReplyDeleteWhat I saw was that there was no evidence that he was spit upon. And the video shot from 10 feet away was pretty clear.
The networks didn't cover Cleaver's speech....they had their talking heads analyzing.

He refuses to pay back a large loan, nor take responsibility for his non-payment.
When elected Mayor he used a city credit card to treat his family to a Disney World vacation, and only paid the money back AFTER he got caught.
He has a history of financial malfeasance. If you like getting screwed over and stolen from, send him back to DC.
Lest we forget the miserable Green Impact Zone FAIL that only served to funnel money to his friends and partners in crime.
