KCPD investigates suspicious device near federal building

Obviously all of this FEAR is totally warranted and very real . . .

Now here's the even more interesting part from Jackson County Insiders . . .

"There's a mess at the Courthouse right now because authorities are having a hard time contacting anybody in charge. Judges, Executives and everybody takes off for Friday. So they are putting the building on alert but NOBODY is around to make a decision."

So . . . Despite high tensions in Downtown Kansas City right now . . . It sounds like business as usual @ Jackson County.

  10. All the muckity mucks from the County are playing golf today. Jaxco Parks and Rec Goddess Michelle Newman decided that Friday would be a ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS day to put on a little golf tourney with prizes and free food and drink. The scum who pay the taxes (aka the Citizens of Jackson County) have to work, but Michelle and her friends get to play golf, eat, drink and relax!

Sure they could have scheduled this on a day when the offices are closed, but they are so much better than that.

  20. News Media Suckers9/14/12, 3:30 PM

Sooo, when it's determined that the whole thing was greatly blown out of proportion and blatantly misreported, will the news outlets and the folks who fed them the bad info admit their errors?

Of course not! They are not accountable to ANYONE for reporting accurate and truthful information.

When the robot lifted up the ar trunk and dollar bill floated out and Al Brooks was on it before it could hit the ground.
Things are tough without more KCPD buildings to get in the middle of.

  26. The local media coverage of this so called bomb incident is absolutely the worst and most amateur work I have seen in decades. Not one outlet has gotten anything right about what the guy said or did that led to his being detained or his car being searched. The press continuously accused the detainee of making threats when they don't even have the facts. If I walk in to the Federal building and say, "I am on the terrorist watch list." or "Why don't you SOB's check my car to" there is no threat except that some drama queen decided to make it into something. By God I bet if you guys ever saw your name show up on a no flight list or terror watch list you would be pissed too. Seems to me the local yokal press needs to learn how to get facts instead of making them up or simply echoing some rumor mill bullshit from some bureaucrat snitch. This is soooooo Richard Jewell.
