ReplyDeleteSeems a little hypocritical to me for those people. How can you be against the death penalty but be for abortion. I think a life begins at conception. But I also have no problem against abortion for rape and incest. I don't think making a women carry a baby full term who was raped is the right thing to do. It's a constant reminder to her of what happened.
9:58 are you a Obama supporter? If so It should be easy to explain why you have such a high regard for him then. Specifically what policies?

ReplyDeleteThe fact is this: The core issues for people who vote Republican are: no abortion and no gays. You will see this pounded home in the last few weeks before the election. The "pelvic/sexual" issues have always been a vote getter for the Repubs. Just look at all of the right-wing blogs/websites who have been referring to the President as "the first gay president." The fact that he is NOT gay doesn't matter, but they know that it will energize their followers to get out and vote.
Even the pro-Republican hierarchy of the Catholic church tell their followers that. NOTHING supersedes these issues. (abortion and gay rights)
Do some reading. You will see what I mean.
And I can also add one more reason. He is a black man in the White House. Many, many people do not want a black man in the White House for no other reason than, he is black.
