Sadly, it looks like only a lawsuit is going to stop this scheme and just a handful of voters and a great many backroom deals from Kansas City's worst politicos are soon to stick this town with a MULTIMILLION DOLLAR bill that all of this town will be forced to fund. In return for the cash grab, Kansas City will get a toy train that only runs less than a couple of miles AND even more promises of private development that have yet to materialize.
So much for the so-called Downtown Renaissance.
