CLAIRE McCASKILL STAYS WINNING!!!

Time's up.

Rep. Todd Akin was facing a tight deadline and today he ran out the clock.

From the AP:

"Missouri election law allows candidates to withdraw 11 weeks before Election Day. That means the deadline to exit the Nov. 6 election would be Tuesday at 5 p.m. Otherwise, candidates would need a court order to withdraw."

It's 5:01 and Rep. Akin remained true to his word . . . He's apparently not quitting despite just about everyone in the nation asking him to . . .

Wait . . . Sen. Claire wanted him in: U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill said Wednesday that her GOP opponent should be given the benefit of the doubt about his unfortunate choice of words.

And so it is accomplished.

MISSOURI SENATOR CLAIRE STAYS WINNING AS AKIN SELFISHLY IGNORES JUST ABOUT EVERYBODY AND CONTINUES HIS LOSING CAMPAIGN!!!

I don't care what your misguided poll or pollster said just to get a quote in the media and get in front of this hot mess . . . This thing is over.

There isn't anything Akin can do or say to make so many people forget this EPIC blunder.

Even worse, his quote has given Sen. Claire a bit of momentum for her reelection bid that was faltering.

The PACS to support Akin have pulled their money out . . . Donations are drying up.

Baring some incredible shift or Sen. Claire clubbing a baby seal on live TV.

Sen. McCaskill Stays Winning.

  1. This has not changed SHIT! Does anyone really think that people who are voting for Akins are now going to vote for McCaskill? HA! HA!
Besides, there are many people that agree with Akins. The media is calling him an idiot. His supporters are not. They are the ones who will put him in office.

  2. If she had anyone with half a brain working for her they would not be wasting money running Anti-Akin ads over the past 48 hours when every newscast is an Anti-Akin showcase.

Cancel the near term ad buys. Save some money now, you will need it later.

  3. Chocolate E-Claire does NOT keep on winning. She's STILL a pig, although with a more glossy perspective, just now. Go Akin, beat this bitch into submission and out of Missouri!!!! GO TODD!!

  4. Hahahahaha! Jeff Roe had the Akin account. Was he counting on that RNC monies this fall?
And WTF is Akin doing in Ohio filming commercials? No studios in Missouri that he could use? Can you say LOSER?

  5. I'll vote for Akin still but this does change something.

He loses the moderate vote. He might lose even more female voters than previously.

Akin would have done well to take good advice and step aside. The race will be harder and closer and there is no guarantee that he'll win it no matter how much Missouri disagreed with Claire McCaskill's policies.

    Thanks a lot Todd.

  6. Aikin is more of a delusional joke by the minute. Stupid rape comments followed by a selfish decision to stay.

Aiken...your a political joke. Do what's best for the GOP.

    IT'S TIME TO GO!!!

  7. Akin's already embarrassed Missouri allover the country, can't hardly be worse. Unless he wins, and then everyone will KNOW we're backwards, and stupid besides!

  8. 5:21: Yep. There are lots of idiots voting, and he may well attract enough of them to pull this out.

He did dig his hole deeper today when he said a lot of women use rape as an excuse to get an abortion.

  9. The only downside to this is how rabid and grouchy right-wingers are going to be for the next... oh... four years and eleven weeks. The Tea Party will be marginalized and rebuked for all time, and the Republican party forced to move into the 21st Century. Here's to an end to obstructionism. Democracy stays winning!!!

  11. The Republicans hate women. Anyone with a vagina needs to vote as if her life depends on it. (It does.)

  12. All of you fucking idiots saying you'll vote for someone who believes rape victims don't get pregnant because they have some sort of Aikin Switch in their ovaries to shut out the sperm. Or that there's a difference between different categories of rape. Hey sick fucks, incest is rape. Fucking a 12 year old is rape.

  13. I often don't likethe way Claire M. votes, but she now has my vote!

  14. Why would Aiken consider quitting to "save" the Republican Party? His views ARE THE SAME as those of the Republican Party.
He just doesn't have the same nice smile and aw shucks fake personality as Ryan or Romney. But they're all peas in a pod.

  15. There will be a lot of people who now stay home instead of vote for Aiken or vote some independent party. Can anyone imagine this guy representing Missouri? How bad will this state look on the national level if he wins? Even the Republicans have blacklisted him.

  16. I used to think anyone could beat Clare...there maybe one exception and he may take an entire party down with him. How myopic can one person be?

  17. Congressman Akin puts his trust in God, and Jesus will deliver victory to him.

Akin will have to count on the people of Missouri and most of them don't like what he had to say, even the Republicans.

Jesus rules the world we live in, it is his.

  20. What's the point in lynch-mobbing Akin - he wasn't going to win anyway. However, the reasons have just changed, for why he won't win... He has no damn backbone!

First, he shouldn't have issued that lame-ass apology for what HE BELIEVES. Also, the GOP was not calling for him fuck off his senate run because of that believe - they just can't believe he was dumb enough to actually voice it. Kept in context, his comment had a little truth to it seeing as how not EVERY "rape" is legit. People lie... It's apart of life.

Never was he to say some dumb shit like that, publicly, and in such an important election.

Again, he wasn't going to win this election anyway... Now, by issuing that cowardly apology, he sealed a democratic victory!

    Obama 2012!

  21. I want someone to pounce on him and rip out every hair on his greasy combover and then say his pernicious ignorance invalidates it as a legitimate assault.

  23. Todd Akin is vital to the full repeal of Obamacare.

71% of Missourians voted for that repeal.

Even though people may not publicly admit that they're voting for Akin, McCaskill could be surprised in November when voters are allowed to cast their vote in privacy, and this distraction has been (mostly) forgotten.

I'm not promising anything, but he's definitely still got a fighting chance to pull this thing off; I haven't talked to a single person who has decided to change their vote.

  24. Go Claire! Go Obama! Let's hope intelligence wins in November.
Akin has 90 i.Q. - on a good day. Please let's not let him continue to represent Missouri.

  25. Anyone but Claire.

  26. Anybody that shoved ObamaCare down my throat won't get my vote in Nov. I don't care if they run a cucumber on the ticket. hardy har har har

  27. To all who support Akin and ignorant sexist neaderthal views such as his...I hope someone you care about is raped and YOU have to deal with the consequences. Of course men NEVER deal with the consequences. Its always easy for someone, especially falsely-religious-pious gratification mongers, to shove their views and beliefs on others(especially anyone who isnt THEM) when this situation will never directly impact their lives. Stop hiding behind religion as an argument...and examine your own lives for the hypocrisy you spew against women and their rights. This new Republican party (Akin's types) are nothing more than American Taliban...so why are we fighting in Afghanistan when the real problem is here at home? If you dont like abortion, then dont have one. If you've never had anyone in your family experience rape, then how dare you assume to speak for those who have. And to those who say women always lie about rape...actually most rapes go unreported because of the additional trauma and accusations agains the women that arise. Men can be "studs" but women are "whores"...the age-old argument of stereo-typical misogynists. Where is the argument on why MY tax dollars (Medicare/Medicaid) support viagra for old farts who cant get a boner? How about treating others as you wish to be treated...novel concept eh?? Equal rights for women...is this country???? NEVER as long as Akin-supporters are around. Home of the free (if you're male) and land of the lying, sexist, hypocritical, egotiestic bigots.
