TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! BEHIND THE SCENES IN THE SEARCH FOR A NEW CITY CLERK!!!

Remember that TKC broke news of Kansas City's search for a new City Clerk not so long ago.

Yes, yes . . . We know that Council has a say in the City Clerk job but we still contend that the move represents City Manager Troy Schulte's new regime taking hold and pushing people around according to so many City Hall employees.

For now, City Manager Schulte has the love of the Mayor and Council but that certainly isn't going to last . . . At least not as election time grows closer.

Anyhoo . . . Now the Mayor and Council are meeting to find a new clerk. It's a more important job than so many out of the loop d-bags realize and it's basically where Democracy starts in Kansas City proper. Check the latest notice . . .

"The Mayor and City Council will meet in closed session on Tuesday, June 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the City Council Conference Room on the 22nd Floor of City Hall, 414 East 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting will be to conduct interviews of City Clerk applicants and to discuss the qualifications of City Clerk applicants interviewed.

"This meeting will be closed to the public pursuant to Sec. 610.021(3) and (13), RSMo. of the Mo. Sunshine Law because it concerns the hiring, or potential hiring, of applicants for employment by the City when personal information about those applicants will be discussed."

Even better . . .

KANSAS CITY'S LONG STANDING WAR BETWEEN THE NORTHLAND AND THE REST OF THE CITY WILL CONTINUE IN THE POLITICS OVER THE CITY CLERK HIRING DECISION!!!

i.e. Look for MESA GENIUS COUNCIL RUSS JOHNSON to make this process infinitely more complicated than anyone ever intended.

DEVELOPING . . .

  2. Crossland. And when the Council realizes that the guy they hired because of his budgeting skills, can't balance a budget, your prophecy will commence.

  7. Marilyn deserves it. Hope she gets it. Crossland had her run and is now in some sketchy IT job. Let Marilyn have her shot.

  8. Sounds like it's time for North KC and KC, North along wth some of the smaller cities like gladstone and riverside to combine and become one city. We could call it anything other than kc. We're so separate now from south it wouldn't matter.
