TODAY COUNCIL DUDE SCOTT WAGNER PROVED VICTORIOUS IN PASSING A TOTALLY USELESS DAYTIME CURFEW THAT ATTEMPTS TO TURN KANSAS CITY COPS INTO BABYSITTERS!!!
Of course Mr. Wagner claims support for this . . . BUT THIS IS REALLY THE KCPS TRYING TO GOVERN THROUGH CITY HALL AND COUNCIL DUDE WAGNER TOOK THE BAIT!!!
Councilman Brooks and Reed voted against . . . Behind the scenes Councilman Sharp was reportedly pretty pissed that Wagner used the rule 28 to sneakily take it out of committee.
What's funny is that politicos trapped in the City Hall ivory tower think that this will make a difference on local streets. Check out the hopeful and totally naive text of the legislation.

It's ludicrous to say that all kids that skip school are thugs. I'll bet that most kids who skip school just hang out with their friends, like we did when I was in high school. What's wrong with society is this 'it's not my problem' attitude... this freedom from responsibility just because you don't want to. Sure, they aren't your kids and if you don't want to do something about it, fine... that's your choice. To say things like 'I shouldn't have to..." or "It's not my job..." is really saying "I don't want to." and again... that's your choice. But the world would be a better place if it villages actually came together to raise children. It is no one's fault but our own that our school system is failing. Is this daytime curfew a good thing? I see the pros and cons. I see it encouraging parents to get more involved in their kids life... I see it encouraging kids to stay in school. However, I do believe that the punishment or discipline should go to the child if he breaks curfew. Let the child deal with the consequences... or have a parent punished vicariously through the child.
