Kansas City Life After The Election: RGC Honcho Danny Powell Back To Real Estate

Surviving Kansas City politics is never a simple task or a direct path. There are many twists and turns along any local political journey.

This morning, a bit of e-mail reminded me of this fact.

According to the message I captured for you d-bags AND a seemingly recent online listing . . . Missouri Political Consultant & RGC Principal Danny Powell is back in the real estate game.

Remember that Powell & Co had taken their share of hard knocks during the last election cycle and GOP political Machiavelli Jeff Roe's blog had even noted their win to loss ratio: Regional Growth Consultants: Wins Nearly 1 in 10 times

I met Mr. Powell completely by accident and found that he was a really nice dude who had a lot of insights about the Kansas City political scene and also provided a bit of perspective about his consulting biz. It sounds like a rough game but with more than a few ups and downs. It's worth noting that Mr. Powell has been in the real estate game LONG before he made waves as a local political dude . . . This post is just reaction to a rather recent move in that career track.

To wit, if I didn't live in a basement or had more than a couple of nickels to rub together, I'd definitely buy a house from the dude . . . But in the meantime, I'll just give him a shout out for his ability to stay hustling amid The Great Recession that's far bigger than the world of local politics.
