Throughout the course of her tenure it has become
CLEAR that Cindy Circo is the Kansas City Council lady completely beholden to the political forces that run The Fire Department.
When the new City Council packed with women came into power there was a hope that this cadre of women would change "politics as usual" in Kansas City.
Tragically . . .
CINDY CIRCO HAS ONLY MANAGED TO PROVE THAT COUNCIL LADIES CAN BE EVERY BIT AS CORRUPT, VINDICTIVE AND PHONY AS THEIR MALE COUNTERPARTS!!!I guess that's a victory of sorts . . . Now if only they can come up with some interesting sex scandals as well.
But I digress . . . Let's talk about Circo's list of wrongs.
Time after time Council Lady Circo has refused to bow out of important City Hall Decisions involving the Fire Department and MAST despite the fact her husband is currently working as a Fire Fighter.
CIRCO'S CAMPAIGN BUDDY KANSAS CITY CONSULTANT KIM CARLOS KEEPS GETTING AHEAD ON PROJECTS WHERE CIRCO HAS AN ELEMENT OF CONTROL!!! Latest example . . . Check out the folks running Kansas City's weatherization program and you'll see a sweet little consulting contract for Carlos that probably didn't happen by accident or at least was witnessed by Circo's watchful eye . . . Despite my suspicions that there's no such thing as unity among women.
Most Recently . . . KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS REPORT THAT CINDY CIRCO IS PUSHING FOR MORE MAST MIDDLE MANAGERS TO JOIN THE CITY'S UNION IN ORDER TO MAKE THEM UNTOUCHABLE WHEN INEVITABLE LAYOFFS COME DOWN!!! Maybe this is a good move that will protect knowledgeable people from potential budget cuts . . . Or maybe it's a reward for loyalty to the
MAST HOSTILE TAKEOVER of which Circo was the mastermind according to so many City Hall denizens. Whatever the case, her intimate connection to the Fire Department should preclude her from making these serious, big money moves without at least some checks and balances.
So . . . While I tend to think that Circo has pioneered Kansas City Corruption on the female front given that her office now seems to work exclusively for her husband and his firefighter buddies . . . Maybe this is just the beginning of a hot new trend wherein ladies bring home the political bacon for their hubbies during the holiday season instead of some lame-ass tie.

ReplyDeleteThe majority of the girls on council suck, really suck. They are very inept, corrupt tools of males. So much for the tampon revolution.
ReplyDeleteThe firefighter' union wanting all management in the union is nothing new. Look at stories dating back to the time they tried to burn down KC and you see the same story.
ReplyDeleteWhat management? Dyer is at a loss as how to merge MAST with the city because there is NO EXTRA MONEY to implement the Local 42 plan. So far he is costing us 23 MILLION in pensions, and cutting non emergency transport. That brings in 8 MILLION a year. But that's okay because he can cut the current staff out and replace them with pricier Local 42 members. Say those guys do not have current certificates? No problem. Dyer calls the ongoing training and resulting certificates "boy scout merit badges' (yes he did. see channel 2)His guys don't have time! Get rid of them! These classes have kept MAST a premier service, but well, Local 42 just ain't got the time! And Local 42 will be pushing MAST employees onto the unemployment line. Thanks whimpy council, thanks a lot.

There will be no layoffs of essential MAST employees, contrary to what people are saying. There has been an exodus of middle management, and certainly more fat on the bone that could go, but as far as people actually doing the work and making the money (e.g. the medics and emts) their jobs are only that much more secure now.
