Mayor Funky and Co-Mayor Squitiro came with a proclamation at to the the Centennial Freedom Fund Luncheon of the Kansas City NAACP. Mayor James A. Young of Philadelphia, Miss., shared some inspiring words . . . But more interestingly . . .
FUNKHOUSER STOOD TO GIVE A PROCLAMATION AND THE CROWD SAT ON THEIR HANDS!!!
Of course there were a few golf claps because Kansas City is an overly friendly town.
But for the most part, AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS, stay that the sound of the crowd talking was louder than Funkhouser support with Gloria Squitiro and her Mammygate rep stinking up the place as well.

they should have kept their trashy selves home. They are not a credit... to anyone. Bet our socially inept mayor didn't send a car to KCI to pick up his fellow Mayor. He just doesn't have any social graces.

ReplyDeleteI hope you are right about the crowd. NAACP didn't say, write or present to any media outlet a damn thing in support of Bates, even though Mike has been their pro bono attorney on MANY cases. They were VERY QUIET on the subject. You'd think they could have managed to squeeze out just one f***ing letter to the editor. Bet they sent a leeter asking for some money AFTER the settlement.

I did an Internet search looking for evidence that our local NAACP chapter had some backbone on this historic case... Nada.
why didn't they just stay home? They won't get these votes. No way, no how.
