Now, the best part the movie which has denizens of the local political scene buzzing and writing TKC is a money shot of Phil Cardarella's daddy "Tiger" dead in the trunk of his car.
Let's not forget that Phil is the hubby of my home girl and former County Exec Kathryn Shields who I voted for in the Mayoral Election. The couple recently beat some home loan drama mostly on the argument in the media of "Democrat persecution" AND Cardarella still writes for the CCP blog . . . Or at least, a post of his still appears on the front page for this group of Democrat "reformers" . . . And all of this essentially means that Kansas City Politics isn't so far removed from the glory days of local corruption, mob-control and embarrassing final appearances.
That movie sucked.

ReplyDeleteI guess if you went in expecting a Hollywood John Dillinger shoot-em-up with car chases and pyrotechnics to die for, it did suck. But from a documentary - which is how it was billed - it was excellent. It only fault, IMHO, was that it was too full of information. As a history piece, I thought it was excellent.

Reportedly, there was another 90 minutes of material that couldn't be included - which would be cool to see as well!
Make this about Carderella if you will, but there were plenty before him and there will be plenty after him.
