Sorry for such a juvenile, crass and stupid post title but today is going to be historic.
Mayor Funky is planning to give his State of The City Address while under a serious threat of recall.
Nobody is declaring victory yet but even Funky loyalists are sweating while doing the math related to the Recall numbers.
Mayor Funky's preview seems to follow the same formula that has marked his current failure of an Administration:
"I will present my analysis of the state of the city to our residents. I plan to address the areas in which we shine, as well as the areas in which we need to improve." said Funkhouser. "I have listened to a broad range of people while preparing for this year’s address and I am looking forward to sharing what I have learned with all residents of Kansas City."Once again he's playing professor at a time when people are looking for leadership. Also, nobody is interested in any kind of "analysis" from a guy who lets his seemingly crazy-ass wife run barefoot around the office using racial slurs, puts his reputation on the line to keep her there and then sues the City in order to bring her back.
Mayor Funky hurt the cause of cops trying to save their funding, this town seems on the cusp of a major crime wave and our finances were already hurting coming into the recession. To top it all off, litigious Mayor Funky is looking to engage in another lawsuit to save his job when most people in this town simply want him gone. So, currently the state of Kansas City looks rather crappy. The only bright spot I see on the horizon is the very real possibility that enough recall signatures will be certified.
They're predicting protesters will be there.
ReplyDeleteThen why did you vote for Funkhouser in the General Election?
ReplyDeleteTypical Latino bigot who could not vote for a Black man.
I thought I already told you I voted for Kickass Kathryn Shields!!!
ReplyDeleteTwice.
ReplyDeleteI almost hit The Mayor with my car last night. True story. He was crossing the street at 10th and Baltimore in front of the library. There is a three way stop there, but I was watching the traffic, and almost didn't see him step out into the street.
ReplyDeleteI thought Tony supported Brooks:

I voted for Funk and it still makes me cry when I think about it.
ReplyDelete"I have listened to a broad range of people while preparing for this year’s address...
ReplyDeleteREALLY? He listens to anyone but Gloria?
You are Latino? Cool!
If Kansas City is so shitty, then GET THE FUCK OUT TONY!
ReplyDeleteFIX this shithole of a city!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf this City keeps Funk, we get what we deserve.
ReplyDeleteSo you voted for Shields, a slimy criminal?
ReplyDeleteEven when she was not on the ballot.
