KC Area girl wins National Spelling Bee

Alright . . . She's from Olathe really but she won and somehow the name of Kansas City should steal some credit since JoCo never pays their fair share around KC Proper and really . . . We need something to celebrate in an otherwise dismal, nasty week of local politics that did not provide much inspiration.

  3. Indian kids ROCK!!!!! Parents are deeply involved in their education. Seven of the last ten spelling bee children have been past winners. So much for the KCMO school district. Sigh.....

  4. Kavya is a perfect example of a child from a loving household attending a school district that cares, supports and develops every child. Olathe East is a very fine school district.
Kavya is an amazing hardworking student! Congratulation!
