Kansas City Star columnist Barb Shelly recently wondered what City Hall would look like with Gloria running things as mayor. . . She wrote some lame high school essay to explore her fantasies which sounds a lot sexier than it turned out.
Unfortunately, so called newsies experimenting with fiction is never a good idea AND what she failed to realize is that GLORIA SQUITIRO IS ALREADY RUNNING THE MAYOR'S OFFICE!!! So the dystopian melodrama was uncalled for because the facts of Mayor Funky's failure are much more interesting and scary than her crappy writing.
I kind of got a little jolt when I saw the reference to Barb Shelly's fantasies, but then when I read that they concerned Gloria -- I threw up in my mouth a little bit.
