Just got back from the teabag party at Liberty Memorial and boy is my sense of (self)righteous indignation tired. Here's a photo essay ese of the way I saw the whole thing.
Check it:
They kept on saying it was a bi-partisan event but booing at every mention of Obama and Democrats along with Impeach Obama t-shirts led me to believe otherwise.
Just like I figured . . . There were a great many people selling their merch in order to turn political rhetoric into sweet coin.
Again, there's no denying it was an anti-Obama crowd.
Still . . . I was surprised by such a great turnout. There were at least a couple thousand people in attendence. . . It was nearly as big as an immigrant rights rally at the same location in 2006.
With the notable exception of Democrats and Minorities, it was a pretty diverse crowd. Both Country AND Western music were well represented.
Sadly, there wasn't one person of color speaking . . . Which is surprising because all of my relatives like to bitch endlessly about their taxes as well.
TKC side note: I did see two people in the crowd that I really love and they even let me carry one of their signs for a bit!!! I think it was the only gesture of inclusion I witnessed all day.
On a bloggy note . . . I was really disappointed to hear Dee from Conservatism with Heart compare modern day high taxes to slavery. It was a thoughtless analogy that didn't show any understanding of the widespread murder, rape and oppression endured by the ancestors of African-Americans and certainly was out of place among this privileged (almost completely white) crowd who had enough disposable income and spare time to attend tea parties on a Wednesday . . . Kansas City conservatives can't have it both ways . . . They can't be oppressed like slaves AND the silent majority . . . It's a typical lack of logic that is apparent in reactionary rhetoric and thought (or lack thereof) . . .
And . . . I guess I have to amend a previous post . . . Mayor Funky didn't speak to the crowd - Most likely because TKC scared him but I'm pretty sure he was in attendance or at least there was a really tall, incompetent white dude crossing his arms and looking frustrated in Mayor Funky's classic stance.
Nevertheless, I was on the lookout for famous Kansas City people in the crowd and I wasn't disappointed.
I thought I saw Jeff Roe on my way into the event . . . But that wasn't him.
It was only later that I got a peek at Jeff Roe talking to some lady about something even more phallic than the Liberty Memorial location or the topic of tea-bagging.
And despite the fact that I think he's Kansas City's biggest dickhead . . . Today belonged to Chris Stigall. I even have to give him credit for reminding the audience that this government spending spree started with President Bush.
Stigall was the keynote speaker and dragging his audience off of their sofas on a beautiful, sunny afternoon was an impressive feat. His comments were the most polished, he moved the crowd and convinced me that God hates taxes too . . . Which is something I always wanted to believe in the first place.
And even better than my photos . . . I just received a great photo of the tea party from one of the best Kansas City photogs Eric Bowers.
That's the most fair you've been all day ese. And it's not really fair but I still like the photos.
ReplyDeleteRaging Against the Machine usually begins with a trip to the Hobby Lobby for sign paper and magic markers.
ReplyDeleteI see lots of fat fucks crammed into blue jeans in those photos.
ReplyDeleteWas Beth there?
ReplyDeleteTony! That's me on the phone next to the guy who isn't Jeff Roe! Wish I could have said hello. Did you get one of my bumper stickers?
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of _teabaggers_ _coming together_ at the _Liberty Memorial_ led by a _Dick Armey_ and a nearby vendor selling _hot sausages_, today's crowd is not exactly what forms in my mind's eye. I wonder if they get the irony?? It's fucking priceless.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to play Spot The Minority, but I think the only one in attendance may have been holding the camera.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I was giving out my bumper stickers for free, but what's wrong with people making some $ off of politics? You gotta at least cover the production cost...
ReplyDeleteWish you got some pictures of my signs:
"THUNDER, THUNDER, THUNDER-TAX! NO!"
"OMG OBAMA SUX! LOL!!1!"
"HOPE we're not bankrupt by 2010"
"HOPE our second black president doesn't suck"
"INFLATION: not just a threat to Limbaugh's waistline"
"Vote Democrat For Free Ice Cream"
were among the best.
TKC...on behalf of NON-Wingnuts there are some real concerns to be voiced.
ReplyDeleteIt's is dumb to believe all of the right wing propaganda but face it there's something going on. The least of which is to denegrate patriotism and to rally the lower demographics into an us vs. them class struggle. This is all very dangerous.
Poster... "Hussein go back to Kenya"... I see there was a fair share of intellectuals there too.
ReplyDeleteWell, the real patriots had their day last november. Today the bitter got THEIRS.
ReplyDeleteI noticed Faux News was in Atlanta with a huge amount of promotion in the heart of the South and the Southern Democrats turned Republican after LBJ and JFK passed the Civil Rights Act.
Tight camera shots of the crowd, over inflated figures, cheerleading to people loving to be on TV.
Fine. We'll see how things turn out...and today's tax protest will get the cover of the news magazines, a few days of television coverage, photos of the crowd with talk show hosts to give THEM some mileage.
Oh well. Wish they'd give those financial CEO's who took our money as much trouble as they've given Obama!
Again, we'll just see how things turn out... but today's TV hype would be better have been done AFTER the ratings started. Nielsen and Arbitron haven't started their spring books yet.
Damn, that's a lot of excess baggage in that crowd.
ReplyDeleteHey Radioman, the CEOs didn't take our money, Obama GAVE IT TO THEM. And that's what this protest was about... Obama is wasting our money on bullshit. According to you, the true patriots hated Bush for running up the deficit in eight years, and elected Obama in November, who tripled the deficit in three months.
ReplyDeleteAnother one of my signs:
Don't abort that child! It owes The Government $36,000.
Dee Vantuyl is just about the rock-stupidest woman alive. It isn't a lack of logic, it's a head full of empty space. Everything she says or does oozes out of her in a particularly creepy way. I really feel sorry for her kids, unless they plan to disown her.
ReplyDeleteI've met her and I had to do everything to prevent myself from punching her in the mouth.
just a bunch of D-bags, crying about their taxes. Just a bunch of people who don't support our troops in Iraq, by wanting lower taxes instead of paying for Veteran Benefits. How anti-American can those d-bags be??
ReplyDeleteThe revolution will not be televised by Fox News.
ReplyDeleteThey also don't seem to realize that the Wars they love to fight must eventually be paid for. Iraq and Afghanistan has all been deficit spending.
But by God, they love their wars.
Can someone please help me understand this teabagging mentality? W spends 8 clueless years fu**ing up the country, and the world and it's God bless America - love it or leave it, Obama actually has a plan to fix it and it's been less than 100 days into it and he needs to be impeached?
ReplyDeleteWhat a bunch of stupid F**ks. Especially the fat bastard next to elBryan. Can't tell if it is a he or she but certianly it is not hurting for food. Nice FUPA!
My advice to all of you out there today, instead of teabagging at the Liberty, here's an idea: Lose some weight, get a job, lose some more weight, get an education, lose the hatred then lose some more weight, stop listening to daytime talk radio, lose some more weight, then by the time you get your head pulled out of your ass, the economy will be fine and you won't be an ignorant fat fu*k!
Peace & Love to All
Ah, TKC, I was there too and you are totally overselling the anti-Obama mood of the crowd. You've cherrypicked a couple of signs and a couple of comment to make your point, but it's pretty much a lie. And yes, there were other minorities there as well. I saw at least a half dozen hispanics, about four blacks and even an Arab looking couple just in the area I was at. What I really don't understand is why you have so much hatred for people that want responsible government?! Almost every point you make is a straw-man fallacy.
ReplyDeleteelBryan....the handouts and spending started with W. about 8 years ago.
ReplyDeleteAlso. You could save a little $ by not paying to highlight your hair. Good to see you haven't had to upgrade your sunglasses in 25 years.
Too much spending? Let's start a war tax. Who is going to pay for the war?
I tend to stay away from the brainless dribble on this blog because I just don't have the time. Your usage of language is quite clever, impressive for someone with no ability to logically see how offensive and ignorant they really are. Plus, it makes you look like an asshole. Way to go by showing the one sign that incorrectly represents the entire group of 5000+ people that were there. My wife and I appreciate that, that's why we work so hard as educators to be misrepresented. Your portrayal of women on this website is incredibly respectful as well.
ReplyDeleteYes, you are right there were not many minorities there and I was disappointed in that as well but if you truly understood the country and city that you live in you may know why that is. Unfortunately many minorities are continuously sold a lie that they can't get ahead and they tend to believe it. They live in areas where they can't get ahead because of their own self-imposed limitations. There were many Americans there that at the end of the day have to pay for this socialist nightmare that is the Democrats, a few Republicans, and Obama. If you want to turn this in to race be my guest, it's an easy out from a real conversation.
As for the bipartisanship statement it was only mentioned by a few of the speakers and yes the event was open to any who were frustrated with the excessive spending of those in Washington. Obama is an obvious target because so many beat up on Bush for so many years. That's okay I don't need to defend him, it's not worth my time, because I can't on many of his decisions. Obama is inexperienced, has spent most of his adult life aligned with radicals, and far left leaning individuals so he kind of gets what he deserves.
What this protest was about is a bankrupt moral code. I am not my brother’s keeper and you will not steal my money and my children's money to give to those that do not deserve it. There is little difference between those that wish to steal our money and a thief on the street. The only difference lies in the fact that the thief is more honest. At least they are up front about what they want to do to you and they do not lie about.
My wife and I are both public school teachers, young (26/29 years of age), and make only a combined income of $65,000. The rich will not be the only ones paying for this spending spree that our elected leaders are currently on. Besides it's neither my right, nor anyone else’s, to define what is rich and how much income is too much. You can have the opinion, you just can't legislate it.
By the way that's a great picture of my friend Bryan next to the $11 trillion sign!
Regards
I'm surprised at the level of ignorance and down right nastiness of these comments. This was a great turnout of the productive class of America, something normally reserved for the dependent class. If you moon bats paid attention to what your government was doing (with the remarkable ease of conscience, BTW) you would understand what this was about. All of you people were lied to leading up to November, you elected this grossly unqualified and arrogant socialist hell bent on destroying everything this country was founded on.
ReplyDeleteSorry TKC, your supremely biased and downright untruthful account of today's demonstration shows how truly ignorant you are about society and American history.
"who tripled the deficit in three months." Constantly repeating the same right wing talking points doesn't make them true....
ReplyDeleteAndrew doesn't have the time for this blog, and then leaves that fucking essay.
ReplyDeleteBwahahaahaha!!
Anyone who thinks there were 5000 people there was smoking weed before he got to the "party."
ReplyDeleteMan, what an absolute bunch of crybabies the right wing has become under Rush's leadership.
ReplyDeleteDo they know how to do anything other than piss and moan?
They had eight years to get it "right" and they couldn't have screwed up more.
Someone needs to spray those d-bags with NRA approved automatic rifle fire from the overlook. Do this city some good.
Do these people know what their taxes pay for? Or that wealthy people pay less than they do? These are a bunch of ignorant Bush lovers who have no knowledge of history or economics, but make up for that deficit with plenty of racism. Losers, all. Well, except for the morbidly obese, who are gainers, not losers.
ReplyDeleteI always want to keep track of what the opposition is up to and I have to say that a lot of your comments are on the mark Tony.
ReplyDeleteI don't share your overly race conscious view but as far as the anti-Obama tone of the event. It's true, this was a Republican crowd. Without a doubt.
Oh, those poor things, they're angry but not quite sure what they are angry at so they just furrow their brows in vain attempts to understand...
ReplyDeleteObama is a "socialist"! Ha! It's like "communist" got a little too silly over the decades, so they had find a new one.
I was there to show my children what it looks like when people who've been on moral auto-pilot for nearly the past decade decide that no black man is going to take their money and give it to Wall Street. These people are so out of touch with reality and their own motivations, it was embarrassing. I noticed they cordoned off the main area -- I assume to keep the blacks and gays off from breathing on them. What made me so uncomfortable were the looks of appreciation at me for bringing my kids out and the assumption because my husband and I appear to have all the same trappings -- two kids, pale faces and office jobs -- that we were supporters. I certainly support stopping the bailouts. But what I can't support is the absolute inhumanity of the sentiments -- signs about 'producers' vs. 'parasites', 'keeping what's mine' 'no social security'. When will these people see that what you do (or don't do) to the least of us, you do to yourself? I saw a lot of people out for themselves (and even at most maybe their children) today. I saw a lot of sentiment that had nothing to do with fat cat CEOs and everything to do with the same old conservative baggage of 'illegals', 'welfare moms' and a lot ill-placed hubris about having a job and a home. ugh. the next protest i'm taking the kids to is going to be on my end of reality.
ReplyDeletebtw tho i <3 "don't abort that baby. it owes the gobt 36k" well played.
Teabaggers - you guys lost get over it.
ReplyDeleteLast August President Obama drew more people at Invesco Field in Denver than the teabaggers drew at events around the entire country. Rather pathetic considering Faux News whored for this Astroturf event the past couple weeks.
And so where were you guys the last 8 years when Bush was teabaggin' the entire country?
Rubigimlet, that was the longest-winded self-congratulatory pat on the back I've heard in quite a while.
ReplyDeleteAndrew, if you are a teacher no wonder American education is failing.
ReplyDeleteIf your combined family income is 65K then your tax liability will be lower under the Dems and Obama than Bush and the Republicans.
How is it that no one can assess what is "rich" but you can claim to know what is "excessive" spending.
The kooks that gathered at the Memorial had no clue with regard to history or economics. If we did not have the Federal Reserve, Social Security and Unemployment Insurance, we would have a 19th Century Panic by now. The speakers at todays rally were calling for just that kind of 19th Century bullshit.
If you cannot see that, you have no business teaching children. The only reason you are teaching children is that we are not taxing income enough to pay for school salaries. We should abolish the property tax and make the income tax more progressive.
Kookity kook kook kakooks.
ReplyDeleteMike Sanders masterbated while watching the kook crowd from the Santa Fe Condos.
ReplyDeleteBravo to Rubigimlet, it's good to see that some in the crowd were thinking and not just chanting.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one whose noticed the irony of a bunch of people gathering to complain that the government is too big...on land taken care of and maintained by the government?
ReplyDeleteIf you're really against taxes then go protest in a private space not paid for taxes and not in the shadow a monument built by taxes for a war which was funded by taxes.
It is beyond disgusting and treasonous they would have a political rally at the Veterans Memorial.
ReplyDeleteRanger
Who let all the niggers in here?
ReplyDeleteyeah, now's the time to protest and complain since President Obama is proposing lowering taxes on the MIDDLE CLASS and raising them--barely--on the WEALTHY.
ReplyDeletejust more stupidity, ignorance and hypocrisy.
idiots.
fools.
(and all these pussies on the internet who can't identify themselves but write in and complain and bitch and moan and criticize other people but then identify themselves (not) as "anonymous" are just that--pussies. God, I get sick of seein' 'em all over the internet. Grow some testicles, people.)
It disheartens me to see racial comments, until I remember I like right in the middle of Redneck Country. These are the same people who are not concerned that minorities are shooting themselves just a little further east.
ReplyDeleteI'd wager that most anti-Obama sentiment stems from the color of his skin, and not his politics.
Viva la raza.
ReplyDeleteyas sah!!!!! niggas for obama!!!! he only part nigga but dat be nigga enuf if he be handin out $$$$$$ so's i kin gets ma tall40, ho's an weed!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey 09:28:00 PM, although most people at the rally probably voted for Bush twice, I didn't see anyone holding up I <3 W signs, and as TKC acknowledged, Stigall even blamed Bush for a lot of this.
ReplyDeleteI recognize that Democrats won in November, and so the only thing conservatives CAN DO is protest and hope that people like Claire McCaskill are listening.. I think she will, because I think she is a good representative..
Many more will not, and that is why I hope conservatives (not Republicans who rubber stamped Bush's expensive agenda) can regain the majority in the house in 2010..
PS- The only thing I put in my hair is shampoo, and yes, my glasses are cheap... I didn't have the government buy them for me, and they're prescription, so they're not cheap.
So 09:28:00, why are you so ashamed of your comments that you can't post your name?
OMG - Chris Stigall looks just like a modern day Homer Stokes!

I happen to know, ladies and gentlemen,
ReplyDeletethat this band of miscreants, this very evening,
interfered with a lynch mob in the performance of its duties.
It's true!
See, I belong to a certain secret society.
I don't believe I gotta mention its name, you know?
Let 'em play! Go on!
Hmm.
And these boys here,
they trampled all over our venerated observances and rituals.
This here music is over, all right?
And I have... No! Hey!
Hey, I ain't... listen to me.
Folks, listen to me. I...
These boys desecrated a fiery cross.
We's all havin' a good time!
And they's convicts, folks, fugitives escaped off the farm.
Now, folks, these boys gotta be remanded to the authorities.
Criminals!
And I have it from the highest authority
that that Negro sold his soul to the devil!
Are there no libs prepared to debate on the problems of overspending? We were mad a Bush for overspending. B.O. has doubled the problem's Bush casued in the first 100 days. This kind of debt and wasteful and unchecked spending is going to force your children into a lower quality of life. If you actually loved your children (as I'm sure you think you do), then you would be outraged at the unprecedented level of incompetence that was ushered in last November.
ReplyDeleteAnd anyone who thinks that raising taxes on the top 5% and lowering the income tax on the lower 95% is a good idea has absolutely no common sense. All B.O. is going to do is shuffle around the tax from income tax to State/Local taxes, cigarette tax, liquor tax, etc.. etc... In all cases you will be paying MORE to the government while they lie to you and tell you they just lowered your tax. And historically speaking EVERY TIME income tax was lowered, tax revenues actually went up. Why not do what we know works?
Over 40% of all American pay NOTHING in taxes, while the top 10% of all income earners pay over 95% of the total tax burden. So I ask, how much is enough? And, who are you to tell someone they make too much? Jealousy is an ugly human trait, and far too easy stoke.
And clearly there were 5000+ at the Liberty Memorial yesterday, and probably close to 1000 at JCCC, and millions, yes millions all across the nation. It was a good day for America, and a bad day for liberals.
Ironic that the teabaggers were holding their little get together at the Liberty Memorial, the site where over 30,000 people will be celebrating the Gay Pride Festival on June 6 & 7. Talk about teabagging!
ReplyDeleteSteve show some stats. I seriously doubt the to 10% pay 95%. That number makes no sense. Especially if 40% do not pay taxes.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Great post Tony. Let's see more of them like this.
ReplyDeleteConsidering how few minorities actually pay any taxes and are a net drain on society, it only makes sense that they're at home drinking Hurricane while the taxpayers are protesting the free lunch giveaways.
ReplyDelete...Then there was actuatly happened.
ReplyDeletedoh, forgot the link to our own photo essay:
ReplyDeletehttp://thekansascitian.blogspot.com/2009/04/kansas-city-tax-day-tea-party.html
Tony,
ReplyDeletePerhaps you could track down photos from the Overland Park tea party. KSHB showed some video including what looked like a black blow-up doll effigy and a poster of Obama with the lips artificially enlarged. Just a heads up.
elBryan, hopefully you know that Claire McCaskill is the only Senator who is not and will not take or create earmarks, right? in fact, the Dems wanted her to take them, too, so they didn't look so bad.
ReplyDeleteAnd Steve, us liberals don't all want crazy spending, either. don't assume anything. we might be liberal on social agendas but conservative fiscally. I know I am. this leftover spending craziness from George W. Bush's insane 8 years has got to stop and as soon as possible.
Also I'm researching the taxes thing. I'm certain your quote: "Over 40% of all American pay NOTHING in taxes, while the top 10% of all income earners pay over 95% of the total tax burden" is patently untrue, as SmedRock said. I'll get back to you.
Yep, you're right I may have exaggerated in my hightened emotional estimations - its the top 10% pay over 71% of the taxes and the top 50% pay 97.01%. The bottom 50% pays less than 3% of all taxes. Note the data provided by IRS/CBO is from 2006, estimates for 2007/2008 are only going to lead these numbers closer to my estimation.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.taxfoundation.org/news/show/250.htmlAnd the number of filers with zero or negative tax liability - is 32% (I know a far cry from 40%)
http://www.taxfoundation.org/research/show/1410.htmlAnd that number is estimated to grow close to 50% after B.O.'s proposals. So instead of nit-picking about the estimates, why not answer the question - How much is enough? At what point does it become fair?
There are some clueless people commenting on this post.
ReplyDelete1 - Most of these people were upset that Bush ran the deficit up too. Obama and the Democrats trippling that 8 year deficit in 80 days was just the last straw. Maybe you missed the huge support for Ron Paul who ran totally against Bush policies.
2 - The richest 5% pay 80% of all income tax, thats not less than what I or you pay. So get a clue.
3 - I am pretty sure they know full well what their tax dollars pay for. Defense is just a tiny fraction compared to all the social spending.
Chris, inflatable Obama dolls... gimme a break. I attended both the KCMO and JCCC protests, pics of both are on my blog. There were no racist posters, comments, or whatever at either.
ReplyDeleteNot everything is about race. Quit worrying about the who and worry about the why!
Stop spamming.
ReplyDeleteI love it how James, who is probably the most openly racist blogger in this city, likes to pretend that racism doesn't exist in these circles.
ReplyDeleteWhitey is mad and he ain't gonna take it no more!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing this rally lacked was a lynching to show it for what it really was.
Wow, talk about ignorant:
ReplyDelete"Do these people know what their taxes pay for? Or that wealthy people pay less than they do?"
Here are some facts.
The nonpartisan National Center for Policy Analysis reports:
The top 1 percent of income earners pay more than $1 in every $3 the Internal Revenue Service collects; from 1986 to 2004, the total share of the income tax burden paid by the top 1 percent of earners grew from 25.8 to 36.9 percent, while the total share of the tax burden paid by the bottom half of earners fell from 6.5 to only 3.3 percent.
During the same period, the percentage of income the top 1 percent of tax filers paid in federal income taxes rose from 18.3 to 19.6 percent; by contrast, the percentage of income the bottom fifth of tax filers paid in federal income taxes dropped from 0.4 percent to zero.
The income share of the top 1 percent rose 7.7 percentage points, from 11.3 to 19 percent, while their income-tax burden rose by 11 points, from 26 to 37 percent.
The study is backed up by data from Congress' Joint Committee on Taxation:
In 2006, 53.7 percent of federal income taxes were paid by those with incomes of more than $200,000. Those earning between $100,000 and $200,000 paid 28.3 percent of individual income taxes.
Added up, those with incomes of more than $100,000 paid 82 percent of the total.
They also paid 44.4 percent of payroll taxes.
I'm racist? LOL.
ReplyDeletePlease, show me where their is any racist post on my blog?
If you are calling me racist because I am against illegal immigration, than you really need a clue. Wanting people to follow the law, is not racist.
As for the clown that said Obama has lowered taxes, please tell me where. Are you talking about the $16 per week cut in payroll deductions? If so, that wasn't a tax cut. The tax table remained exactly the same, the deduction from your check went down.
At the end of the year you, me, and everyone else with a job will get to pay it all back.
okay, i came in at 59 comments, and now a bunch have disappeared and it shows only 41. WTF???
ReplyDeletenope, now it's 63. but the full page i've got up still doesn't show more than 41.
ReplyDeletei need vodka.
Racism.
ReplyDeletehttp://thekansascitian.blogspot.com/2009/03/unhappy-meals-newage-of-entitlement.html
"Stigall even blamed Bush for a lot of this"
ReplyDeleteWell, that's one...
"And clearly there were 5000+ at the Liberty Memorial yesterday, and probably close to 1000 at JCCC, and millions, yes millions all across the nation"
Well, I will say you spew the right wing talking points better than you count...
Andrew, you and your fucking nitwits better start understanding that we are ALL our brothers' keepers. It's your type of arrogant belief that everything I own is mine because I earned it - well that's a bunch of bullshit. You got it because of the largess of society. Own a house? You're welcome for the tax break. Have a 401K? You're welcome for the tax deferment. Drive a car? You're welcome for the roads. You and your family safe ? your welcome for the police and fire protection. Have an education? [probably not], but you're welcome for the public education (or private education because they are NFPs and don't pay taxes). Enjoy your religion? Your welcome because they don't pay taxes either. I don't believe in gawd, but I still give your dumb ass religion a break because of the greater good. etc, etc, etc.
ReplyDelete"It is beyond disgusting and treasonous they would have a political rally at the Veterans Memoria"
ReplyDeleteI would say...the most ignorant post on this thread.
treasonous?
ReplyDeletetreason?
to be on government land with a protest? I don't know. I don't think so.
Treason, defined:
1. (noun) treason, high treason, lese majesty
a crime that undermines the offender's government
2. (noun) treason, subversiveness, traitorousness
disloyalty by virtue of subversive behavior
3. (noun) treachery, betrayal, treason, perfidy
an act of deliberate betrayal
PFL0W, You're aware that McCaskill voted against his spending bill, right? And if she wouldn't be kicked out of the Democrat party, she would have been at the Tea Party, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Republican, and I give her credit for MANY things. I think she is a MUCH better senator than either Talent OR Bond.
That's what I hope the Tea Parties accomplish... the Democrats who are not committed socialists and who are NERVOUS at best about Obama's wasteful spending need to grow a pair and stand up for the people who make America work, instead of the First Black President who they want to believe in so much, no matter how disappointed they secretly are.
Is Missouri Sovreign yet?
ReplyDeleteOK, SmedRock and PFlow, I take your silence as an apology.
ReplyDeleteAnd, to the commentor who thinks that what I make and is mine to keep is an arrogant position, you are mentally derranged. Seriously, that is so fundamentally against everyithing this country was founded upon. We are NOT our brother's keeper, and I don't think anyone here feels they shouldn't pay taxes for infrastructre, police/fire, military, etc... What we have problems with are our hard earned tax dollars being wasted on criminal organization like ACORN and bullshit social programs like the Community Reinvestment Act and welfare, and all the pork - just so politicians can buy votes. There' so many, I could go on and on.
Why is it that so many of you libs are so angry and disrespectful to someone with differing opinions. I thought you were supposed to be open minded and accepting.
