Once again, I'm hoping that Kansas City will fail.
A recent murder once again highlights the lack of progress in this city:
Kansas City Homicide Count Increases to 126
To wit . . .
IF KANSAS CITY CAN GO LESS THAN 24 HOURS WITHOUT A HOMICIDE THAN THIS COWTOWN WILL FAIL TO MATCH THE TOTAL OF THE BLOODIEST YEAR IN A DECADE!!!
From elected officals, there's almost no leadership on this issue so (as always) Kansas City is on its own. Sadly, this is New Year's Eve so it's not the ideal time to ask any part of the metro to calm down. Consider the latest crime story which I think accurately reflects Kansas City's culture:
"Robbers Steal Entire Register at Liquor Store"
It'll be close . . .
But as always, I'm hoping and praying Kansas City will fail to set this benchmark. I hope you'll join me.
126 X $174,000 = $21,924.000 Almost Thirty Million spent on Police, Mast Ambulance, dispatchers, morgue, coroner, investigations, psychologists, and the rest of it.
