TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! TALK OF NEPOTISM INVESTIGATION OF MAYOR FUNKY AT THE JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE AS WELL!!!

It's important to note on this one . . . TKC is merely reporting talk and chatter . . . But these things have a way of turning into action as anybody who has watched Mayor Funky's downward spiral can attest.

So far, TKC has heard from a great many KICKASS Tipsters and folks throughout Kansas City that they aren't exactly satisfied with the actions of the Missouri Ethics Commission (or lack thereof) when it comes to Mayor Funky . . . People say that the commission is slow and their research isn't complete.

Yet, their are a great many people who are now voicing serious concerns about Mayor Funky to other legal entities who might be able to address the situation. Folks going this route note that it provides a quicker course of action against the Mayor since his office has already been fined because of Ethics violation and once again is caught in a tense legal/ethical predicament.

WORD IS THAT FOLKS AT THE JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE ARE FIELDING CONCERNS FROM FOLKS WHO ARE URGING THEM TO LAUNCH AN ETHICS INVESTIGATION OF MAYOR FUNKY!!!

This kind of talk is serious and the only joke is that the Mayor is still saying he's going to run for re-election. Nevertheless, the folks looking to challenge the Mayor through legal means are pretty serious and it seems that they're making a lot of progress in their efforts.

Developing . . .

  1. Maybe he'll just quit.

  2. He'll quit if Gloria tells him to quit.

  3. Did the Funk say what he was running for? Maybe he had been elected dogcatcher in West Virginia? Maybe he had been elected 29th Vice-President of the pro light rail committee? Or Big Jeff Roe had secretly appointed the Funk President (why not a bigger title than Mayor for the Smartest Guy in the Room?) of Axiom Strategies and the Funk was going to run against Roe to be re-elected to that position?

Who knows with this whack job? I wpould say after a years dosage of the Funk madness, anything is possible. And whether true or not, for sure the Funk might believe he was President of Axiom Strategies.

  4. The dude is totally out of his mind on this one, even his friends at The Star have jumped ship.

Sorry Funky, politics is for grown ups.

  5. Contact Jim Kanatzar to complain about nepotism in the Mayor's office. If you live in Clay or Platte call your county's prosecutor. Perhaps ALL THREE counties could take a "regional approach" and get this road block off the track. He needs to be removed from office now. Contact Sarah Madden in Jay Nixon's office in Jeff City. A complaint was made back in the summer, but so far elections got in the way. November 4 has come and gone... time to get back to work Mr. Nixon. You are still our AG! Leave a nice healthy file for Chris Koster to pursue.

  6. Contact the Missouri Attorney General's Office ag@ago.mo.gov
Put Funkhouser in the subject line.
Let's fill up that inbox NOW! Ask him to start a NEPOTISM investigation. a complaint has already been made, he is legally bound to follow up.

  7. Et tu, Star?

    Yep, me too.

Tell me this isn't a Shakespearean drama.

  8. The Mayor's political Godfather, the one and only Jimbo Nutter, will never let this happen. I think that is why Kanatzar has never made a move on Funkhouser's clear breach of the nepotism law. Funkhouser is Nutter's Monkey and and Kanatzar is Nutter's organ-grinder. Jim Kanatzar would not have the balls to move against Jim Nutter's mayor.

  9. Thomas Paine wrote during the founding days of the Republic the following: "That government is best which governs least".

Given the state of an ineffective council and a hapless mayor and flowndering bureaucracy, might we have attained that state that Paine saw as best.

  10. Is Jim Nutter behind the ouster of Cindy Circo? we know that Nutter pulled the strings to get Funhousder elected, so whose strings is NButtter know pulling? Surely it is still Funkhouser, but who else?

I think it is strange that Kanatzar took campaign contributions from Nutter, is beholden to him, and will not prosecute Funkhouser.

  11. Take my word for it, Kanatazar will NOT go after Funk. Period. The deal is done (I know this for a fact). We might as well move on as it's never gonna happen folks.

  12. You don't know what you are talking about. Nutter was adamantly against light rail, but the mayor didn't listen. I don't think Nutter has a conspiracy here. People with money contribute to more than one candidate. The mayor's election efforts were really grass root, and a lot of people, myself for instance, helped him get elected. I realize my mistake (by the way, he doesn't even speak to me anymore), and won't help him again. I have worked at city hall a long time, and can't recall a worse mess.

  13. WTF?

Kanatzar has some deal with Nutter not to prosecute?

    Who's running this town?

  14. If Nutter interfers with a legal matter by quashing it that could reach RICO Act status.. Maybe we need to go to Main Justice to get justice?

"Today, RICO is almost never applied to the Mafia. Instead, it is applied to individuals, businesses, political protest groups, and terrorist organizations. In short, a RICO claim can arise in almost any context."

  16. No, I did not say that Nutter has a deal with Kanatzar not to prosecute Funk, I'm saying that Kanatzar will NOT prosecute Funk. Period. We can debate the whys and the wherfores, but it ain't gonna happen. Anyone holding our hope for Kanatzar to "save the day" is waiting for Godot.

  17. Is it even possible to have a real recall petition get going? My husband and I would totally sign and go door-to-door to get more signatures. I would think it would be a cakewalk to get 16,000 signatures in 30 days...heck, we could probably get them over a weekend.

  18. screw KCMO politics. I'm glad that light rail was defeated in KC. As a non KC voter, yolu're doing just fine...but this Funky guy turned out to NOT be readly for prime time.

You need to ask yourselves, Kansas Citians, how this lightweight got elected? I suspect it was that local television media wasn't doing it's job. Trying to keep people watching without doing any actual journalism.

Fact is, when voters get something they didn't actually VOTE FOR, they should turn to their local media and say to them, "WHY ARE WE SURPRISED? YOU WEREN'T DOING YOUR JOBS! IF THAT HAPPENS AGAIN, AND I GET A NIELSEN MEDIA DIARY, I'M GOING TO TELL THEM I NEVER WATCH YOUR STATION BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT TELLING ME THE STUFF I NEED TO KNOW!

    SO SERVE ME, OR DIE!

  19. Is Nutter still propping up Funkhouser?

  20. Once again, the anony. 10:00 pm is trying to desceive the public with an old campaign trick of falsely associating a person with high negatiges with another. The intent is to mislead the public into having a negative for Mr. Nutter. The Funkhousers are out of control. I know no one who helped Funkhouser run, who now wants to be publically or privately connected.

Mr. Nutter is a civic minded man.

  21. The anony 10:00 pm frames a question to damage rather get a real answer. It is the equevalent of the question: Do you still beat your wife? It is a setup... So sophmoric but typical of those who promote light rail. Hide the truth attack the character not the logic of your oposition. Mr. Nutter has funded many civic issues over the years. I wish we had more J.B. Nutter types in this town.
