Kansas City celebrates bad art and ignores the stench at Brush Creek once again!!!

WaterFire returns to Brush Creek this Saturday. The Star lists the many challenges faced in putting on the event but sadly fails to mention the bad smell after a heavy rain or all of the floating poo . . . Yet again, Kansas City celebrates high art, snobbery and pricey events put on for the people of JoCo but neglects local water infrastructure . . . Still, there's a bit of poetic justice in this piece of performance art because so many folks will try their best to ignore the smell and stare at the illuminated creek full of floating turds. In other words, this Kansas City event is remarkable in that it is both figuratively and literally full of shit.

  2. This is such idle white trash $hit.

Floating fires amid raw sewage (read that as raw $hit!). How novel.

Another pretentious non-event masking as another lame attempt to make Kansas City something it isn't...a city with class.

Mindless entertainment for the masses of trailer trash people that comprise its population.

  3. Not true.
Portland Oregon has Waterfire on the Willamette RIver.
That progressive city has embraced the event as the avant garde, spiritual and daresay, trancendental event that it is.
    Just kidding... it blows.

  4. You guys are nuts. I went to Waterfire last year and it was great. Lots of folks just enjoying the bonfires, dancing and music while meandering along the creek. Get out of your basement and enjoy the scene.
