NBC Action News reports that City hall is just months away from receiving $7.3 million to buy, rehab and resell hundreds of foreclosed homes. KC has only 18 months to decide which houses it'll rehab and try to resell. Any profit must go back into more neighborhood recovery.

If former Councilman Ken Bauchas finds out about the 7.5 million he will try to rehab seven and a half houses.
ReplyDeleteWhat political mischieve can the new council get into. This is too little rehab money to make any difference and too much to give a council bent on spending 91 million a mile for light rail. A rail line that serves no more than the current bus routes. This is a city council that doesn't want the public to hear the facts. Do you trust them with 7.5 million? Then don't give them 1.1 BILLION. Read the ballot language. You will give them the revenue and they get to determine everything else. That's not a plan that's a boodogle
11:51... totally agree. But $7.5 M could do alot of good rehab work... but the Council will screw it up somehow.
