Kansas City's School Desegregation Case is one of the landmark disasters in the history of public education.
The mistake that most people make is thinking that it has anything to do with desegregation. It was mostly a failed effort to WASTE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS on a failure of a school system.
And rather than hiding in shame, one of the architects on the disaster now wants on the School Board.
This is yet another reason that nobody should EVER believe propaganda about the school board changing. It's just not gonna happen and the laughable candidacy of Arther Benson is just one of the many reasons why.
I don't know much about Dolores Arzola, who is the alternative candidate that's also a write-in . . . For the 12 to 18 people who are actually going to vote in that election I encourage all of you to write in this blog or Daffy Duck for a seat on the prestigious board because that will make more of a difference.
Benson is trash. People who use race the way he does in the courtroom are a part of what is holding black culture back. Whitey sees his antics for what they are, manipulations of race purely for profit.

Benson has done more for the kids in this town and our school district than 100 other school board members combined. His critics forget the beautiful new buildings like Central High School. Or maybe we should ask them to remember the old Central High and the old Paseo. Or the district where the kid had aged materials and underpaid teachers. Are you too young to remember what the KCSD was like before Benson, Tony? If you could remember, you wouldn't call him the worst thing to ever happen to the district.

Not "his personal profit" are you kidding me. The man made millions off the deseg case and then pulled his own critters out of the District. I would rather have Carol Coe on the Board then Benson.

amen and amen! Benson is one of the higher order of thieves and criminals that comprise the legal system (see joke) in this country. What a poor, poor excuse for a man..
ReplyDeleteBenson is from one of the wealthiest families in KC. He didn't need the money from the deseg case and he didn't file that case to make a profit.
ReplyDeleteYou all must be too young to remember what the schools in the district were like before the deseg case. You must be too young to remember the teachers' strikes in the 70s. You think the district is bad now? You should have seen it 30 years ago.
Benson will be a great school board member. Just wait, you will see.
