Let's make this clear . . . TKC doesn't like endorsing political candidates mostly because I hate all politicians.
Nevertheless, I'm surprised by how many d-bags mistakenly believe that the people holding political office can make a difference.
Yet another manifestation of this lie to prop up the system (man) has been a flurry of interest in the Jackson County Sheriff's contest - I was gonna type "race" but they're all white so that doesn't make sense to me.
Let's look at the field and some of the dirt that's been circulating around the local blogs on the subject:
Mike Mauer is running for Sheriff. He kicked off his candidacy at La Fonda so I'm assuming he has the support of La Raza Political Club - I think that I'm required to endorse him based simply on that fact but it has been a couple of years since I've handed out ballots for the group and my loyalty is based solely on cash and the pursuit of snack cakes and white women. There's also word that he's a Republican and related to that racist-ass judge who didn't care about the rights of Black women and their unborn babies - I'm not sure if any of this is true but I do know that I don't care . . . Let's continue . . .
John Bullard wants to be Sheriff - He has a crappy website that says so. By now everyone with an interest in Kansas City blogs knows that Bullard has a bit of a black cloud hanging over his head with the death of his dog Hondo a couple of years ago under questionable circumstances (HONDO NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!) - I don't care about the dog but there was an 82 year-old driver involved in an accident in the ensuing ride to the vet that is actually worth noting even if the driver is probably dead by now of natural causes and nobody cares about old people. I hinted that I could endorse Bullard but then I was surprised that it was already a two man race.
Enter Mike Sharp (No Homo) - Sharp has a better website than any of the other candidates and I recently noticed on the way home from hanging out aimlessly at Crown Center and hitting on corporate chicks in business suits that Sharp had his kickoff event at KC Hipster bar The Cashew. So obviously he either has good taste or a lot of money . . . I respect both even though I have no idea who the guy is . . . His site says he was KCPD so in that he has an advantage in terms of professionalism but then again he's from Lee's Summit and I hate the suburbs.
UPDATE: I almost forgot Gary Scherer and you probably did too!!! I want to include and deride every politico running for this office so I guess I should let the old man join the fun before his juice and naptime.
Still, I'm not making any endorsements TKC is just providing the first, best and most objective (gully) round-up of the Jackson County's Sheriff's race.
I guess I could just endorse whoever wins but I have a sneaking suspicion that I could get something out of this . . . Of course TKC doesn't want a bribe or any filthy campaign cash for that matter.
However, I do have a need to unfairly and indiscriminately exercise any kind of "authoritah" that comes my way but I could never become a cop for many reasons that include my penchant for afternoon naps. So maybe my endorsement and a lot of ensuing publicity from this blog could be garnered by the promise of making TKC a honorary deputy like Dwight Schrute???

And by the way, I want a gun.
I think you've managed to piss off everyone here. Good work.
ReplyDeleteWoof
ReplyDeleteWho would want your endorsement. I hope Bullard raids your basement when its all said and done.
ReplyDeletewoof
ReplyDeleteWhat's up with Bullard and his money problems? He needs to explain whether he received a reprimand for using police dpt money on personal items...
ReplyDeleteThis guy has issues.
I've said it once and I'll say it again, I'm writing-in Hondo.
ReplyDeleteCan tony be arrested for stupidity?
ReplyDeleteWell if Mauer has THE RACE behind him he just kissed goodbye to the 75 percent of Kansas City that support Funkhouser and the 20 percent more that which Funkhouser had stood firm on Semler. After the boycott people understand what a group of thugs make up the membership of THE RACE. My guess is that you will be linking to Mauer's Web site soon.
ReplyDeleteHey SS man.
ReplyDeleteYou only prove how ignorant you are about Kansas City politics.
La Raza Political Club and the National Council of La Raza are two different things.
Next time think before you write about things that you don't even know and try to learn to correct your ignorance.
SS, I'm just a regular joe white guy who actually took the time to actually learn foreign languages before acting like I have a clue what words within them mean. I've lived around the world and I can assure you that "La Raza" is more commonly used as "The People" instead of "The Race" as you are falsely assuming.
ReplyDeleteJust because google gives you a definition doesn't make it correct guy. Get educated for a change.
Tony if you want THE PROFESSIONAL, look at Gary Scherer. He is not tied into the corruption of Kansas City and Independence politics. He was invited to attend the FBI Academy.
ReplyDeleteAlso you will want to correct your web site. Mike Sharp does not have the class to live in Lee's Summit. He lives in Ticky Tacky East Kansas City.
I will give you two beaners or beaner lovers credit for this. It must be real difficult to make a blog post with a spray paint can.
ReplyDeleteANON AT 10:20 -
ReplyDeleteGARY SCHERER IS A REPUIBLICAN.
SS: Beaners? Are they from Boston? Why do Boston Baked Beans have any say in this?
ReplyDeleteI'm from the Westside and I'm white, not so shocking for people who actually know about the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteTony you had better get with the program. Bullard is the Democrat candidate with the endorsement of Congressman Cleaver and all Kansas City labor leaders. When you have all those endorsements on your website it is a good looking website. Ask your mom.
ReplyDeleteAnd ask Cleaver if he endorsed Bullard.
ReplyDeleteFaking the Cleaver endorsement looks like another big issue for anti-Bullard forces that they are trying to sell on blogs.
ReplyDeleteBullard should just post the endorsement letter on his web site and put an end to this BS.
ReplyDeleteYou make me sweat Tony
ReplyDeleteMaybe Mauer should just withdrawal from the race right now since he violated tax law and election law by sending a fundraser letter out to a nonprofit membership list. Some sheriff! Breaking the law even before you are elected.
ReplyDeleteAsk me if I actually got Cleaver's endorsement.
ReplyDeleteJust ask me!!!
Just post a scanned copy of the endorsement from Cleaver on your web site John.
ReplyDelete"Bull rider" are you saying that it is OK if he breaks the law AFTER he gets elected?
ReplyDeleteYou Jackson County politicians are nuts.
The Cleaver endorsement letter? I lost it! I swear I just had the thing, but I can't find it now.
ReplyDeleteCan someone call Cleaver's office and ask for another one?
Pretty please?
Fuck you hoodrat, you cocksucker
ReplyDeleteHey did anybody see my HR file laying around here?
ReplyDeleteI really, really need that thing back!!!
Lets all not forget that Tony's mom, Rita ran for 4th District against Beth and LOST.
ReplyDeleteSo Tony does not hate his mom.
Mark Forsythe lost to in the 4th distric but I never heard of him.
Paintman lets stay on topic you loser.
ReplyDeleteSSidem , have you always been a closeted gay man who chugs brown skinned meat straws at erotic city. I guess now that they closed your hole you came home to troll.
ReplyDeleteId slap the shit out of ya, but you might bite your cousins peter off. bwaaaaaah
Don't come near Independence hoodrat.
ReplyDeleteAnon 801 all i have to say is you are queer and we don't need that shit.
Hey Mr. Bullard, I gave you a campaign contribution in return for your support of school vouchers, and the rest of my conservative agenda.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you doing with my money??
At least you'll cast your vote for Koster in the AG race. But that's an awfully expensive vote if you can't win the Sheriff's race....
Do you need some more money?
No Anon 801 do you still have your job with Beth Gottstein? You are the queen of Erotic City, after all didn't they name a booth after you? Certainly your breath smells like the remenents of a truck stop party. Or did you give all that up for Amy?
ReplyDeleteThe woman at the top of this post looks like she has a prostate prob in her hand. If you keep putting in this violent sexual stuff I am not going to read this blog any more.
ReplyDeleteHey the argument is not over whether La Raza means the Race or The People. It is the incidious use of the word THE. Anyone who draws a circle that excludes everyone with the word THE, is in a very dangerous place.
ReplyDeleteJohn Bullard - return my phone calls!!!
ReplyDeleteI command thee.
So THE United States of America is a very dangerous, excluding place?
ReplyDeleteLast I checked, Congressman Cleaver has never written a letter endorsing a candidate. Have you ever seen a letter written endorsing a candidate during a campaign? Do people still do that? They must be Republicans.
ReplyDeleteI spoke with Cleaver and he does support John Bullard. He gave his support to him back before the other candidates joined the race. So it should be no slap at the other candidates.
Sorry Coach. Cleaver's office hasn't confirmed the endorsement.
ReplyDeleteCleaver has not endorsed Bullard. We need to be clear on that.
Not to worry Mike Sharp will use his two years full time experience (1981-1983) to turn around the fortunes of the low flying Sheriff's Office.
ReplyDeleteMauer is the most qualified candidate with 30 years experience and a life time as a democrat.
Whatever, your as crooked as your mustache.
ReplyDeleteI just want to thank Ross and Dan for their work at the courthouse, couldn't have slipped in without ya!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about all of the future allegations of abuse of power and political corruption, its Jackson County!
To heck with all of the has beens who filed. How about getting the girl at the top of the blog to run for office?
ReplyDeleteYou all are forgetting one important thing. To check your facts. Scherer is not a republican. This is the only rummor people can start because they can't find anything else to say bad about him. What difference would it makwe anyway? A sheriff protects all citizens.
ReplyDeleteBULLARD WINS CCP ENDORSEMENT!!!!! ANOTHER ONE TO ADD TO THE LIST.
ReplyDeletei know who wont win the sheriff's race
ReplyDeleteall those who lack experience
all those who are not active law enforcement
hmmm that leaves only one person
john bullard maybe ding ding
ps you almost on the verge of
defamation with his k-9 story
your facts are not correct.
so who are you supporting for prez
hey tony why dont you support bush again or did you know he couldnt run again .lol
why dont you run
hmmm 2 votes 1 from yourself and one from your ego
i wish all luck on both sides
alot of hard work alot of personal
money out of pocket spent

so sit back and blog blog blog
what you would do differently
