There's no way to spin Funkhouser's latest public defeat . . . It has cost him A LOT of support.
What I find funniest is that even the people in the Mayor's backyard are now starting to have second thoughts:
Plenty of taxpayers expressed anger toward Kansas City Mayor Mark Funkhouser. Even in his own neighborhood, people blame him for dividing the City Council.Video of this same story (find it yourself) displays even more white people ranting against Funky with only one, old crotchety supporter who probably was an escaped Nazi.
"I've lost faith in our mayor, Mayor Funkhouser, because of this and several other things, but this especially," Ken Herdrick, a taxpayer living in Kansas City's Brookside neighborhood.
The point is . . . These are WHITE PEOPLE willing to go on record with problems with Mayor Funky. That's a bad sign for a politico whose only move has been to exploit racial divisions in this town. If Mayor Funky can't even pull support in his own neighborhood that shouldn't elicit confidence in the rest of the City and it's (yet another) clear sign that his stubbornness and arrogance have spun out of control.
Let's get this recall effort going in the blogosphere.

Who cares what some latte-sipper in Brookside thinks about Funk. He's trying to take out some boldbricking trash at city hall so of course some pantywaists and racist preachers are going to feign outrage.

Anon 2:10pm I know Mark as well, but guess what, after 6 months of him screwing up this city and acting like he is better than everyone, I want a new mayor. Friends or not, his ego, lack of common sense, and lack of willingness to stand up to his control freak wife Gloria is bad for the city.
