Throughout this week there was no more important subject than the scarcity of Hannah Montana tickets for an upcoming show at the Sprint Center.
And I can only hope that one day I might be so successful, bored and privileged that THIS would be the topic which inspired me to contact my elected officials. But that's probably not going to happen.
KC Talk has a great thread on the subject.
And the only thing I can further contribute to this subject is that I HAVE NO IDEA about this act coming to KC but I do know that it's only a matter of time until every young music sensation ends up posing nude for money and probably doing things a lot worse than that . . . So . . . I guess, eventually, we all end up seeing the idols of our youth for what they really are (skanky); and not the hype that once surrounded them.
Therefore, tonight's podcast is dedicated to the crappy music targeted at the tween demographic and how capitalism has supplanted any kind of attempt at artistry in the current American cultural landscape.
Also, who would have thought that Tiffany would end up looking better than Debbie Gibson in the long run? Time is a strange thing.
Tony would be sniffing that seat if he were on the all-hispanic crew cleaning up the banquet hall afterwards. Actually, so would I come to think of it so I'm not really sure what my point was.

ReplyDeleteTiffany had the hotter photo spread (and one of the hottest cleeb ones in a while). She must have starved herself for a year before the shoot because she's chunked up now and is on one of those celebrity fatty lose weight shows now.

I think Debbie partied a little too hard while Tiffany left the music business and became a mom. Time was nicer on her for sure!
I'm for once with you on the Hannah Montana BS. That shite is actually on the front page of the sunday paper!!! Front page!
when you have kids it is odd how much you want them to get what they want! i kind of hope you understand that someday. I would also love my kids to grow up in a town without crime or racism- any ideas?

ReplyDeleteThere's two pictures of Tiffany & Debbie posing together, one in 1989 & one in 2009. The 89 picture looks like a couple of teenage girls hanging out together & the one from 2009 looks like Debbie hanging out with her mom. Debbie looks great in her Playboy pics. Tiffany looks OK,but she has that bad plastic surgery/Joker/old lady smile in at lease 2 of the pictures.
