Mike Worstell, 19, of Independence is accused of trying to hire a hitman as a way to punish his ex-girlfriend, Jackson County prosecutors say. (He allegedly marked three to four other people -- but not the ex.) The case was investigated by Blue Springs and the Jackson County Drug Task Force.
