Apparently, Jackson County wasting money never gets tiresome

Mike Sanders is looking for ways to save money that starts with eliminating jobs but apparently doesn't apply to an EXPENSIVE NATIONWIDE JOB SEARCH that was ultimately pointless or the pricey salaries of his inner circle.
Jackson County is paying nearly $88,000 for recent national searches to fill four management positions that ended up going to local people.

County Executive Mike Sanders stands by his decision to pay a consulting firm to do the searches, even though the county is in a cost-cutting mode that led to elimination of 142 jobs this year.
It's almost enough to make me miss Kathryn Shields who at least tried to save money by having her employees chauffeur her big ass around.

  1. I'm hearing people are missing him as the City Prosecutor.

  2. I heard the same. He was actually pretty good in that position. NO HOMO!

And I also thought he did well when he appeared on Dr. Phil. Remember that?

    Good times.

  3. Big shock I guess to find out that nationwide talent doesn't want to work in Jackson County/here. I guess it was a good to try.

  4. On your point above Paintman, I am a local attorney and have been hearing for several months that the prosecutor's office is not the same without Sanders. However, I think he'll go down as one of the best this area has ever seen, so he was/is a tough act to follow I think.
