Now here's the level of media criticism that we're all comfortable with . . . Apparently, it's been widely noted that Meredith Hoenes can't stop looking at herself in the TV monitor during her morning broadcasts . . . If it weren't for the fact that the show she hosts is mostly bunk and she's one hot piece then this kind of thing might be bad and could lead her career down some horrible Narcissistic path . . . Thankfully, women in TV News only have a window of about 3-4 years to work with before they're labeled as old and used up . . . Which is sad because old broads can go for a good 10 years in the bar scene before people start throwing those terms around . . . That's more than enough time to find a good
Still, I'm a big fan of TV talking heads and recently I stumbled upon a great collection of photos of on-air newsies. Enjoy the photos . . . The women are on top (as always) but don't get accustomed to seeing these faces for long given the fact that most reporters want out of this town and onto a bigger market before they lose their looks, give up the will to live or actually start to develop a sense of history about this town.

ReplyDeleteTwo friends of mine have been guests on the show a couple of different times and both say, without a doubt, that Miss Hoenes is vain in an over-the-top Cruella DeVille kind of way and, in their words, "dumb as a stump." In other words, perfect for TV journalism. Next stop: The Today Show.

I love how she is so stupid she can't read the simpsons trivia. My favorite is when they have in the middle of the episode telling us some obvious thing about the episode: "This episode featured Stephen Hawking!"
