He's normally a great blogger, but your favorite Irish blog has made a big mistake. He complains that O'Dowd's only has live music twice a week, but it actually has live music EVERY night. I think he owes the pub an apology, and a round to everyone there tonight!
ReplyDeleteDan I don't say that the pub only has live music twice a week, I merely point out that I usually only go twice a week - and admit that my trips typically do not include the big nights of Friday and Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI like the pub, but the great frequency of how often it has a tiny crowd (less than ten people) right up until closing time, and how relativey early it closes, to me renders the notion that it could be the best in nightlife KC has to offer, as completely ridiculous - even if there is live music going on. If nobody is there to hear it, do you still call that nightlife? I shall keep going though.
Should I apologize for liking it? Or for actually going way more than the people who say it is great? Or for noticing that there is more life in other establishments I pass to get to it, or visit after it closes?
I misread your post, and thought you were saying that they only had live music on Friday and Saturday. I guess I owe you a round.
