And before you get all indignant about criminals fleeing the po-po, maybe some discussion about police policy regarding high-speed pursuits in areas with heavy traffic is in order.

Sometimes you have to trust the judgment of the officer on the scene. These 2 assholes should be charged with 1st degree murder. Running from the police should carry a mandatory 5 year no parole sentence.

ReplyDeleteI don't trust the cops to make good judgment about when to chase. They almost got me and my then pregnant wife killed when the guy they were chasing smashed into me at an intersection. Seriously, I wonder how often these chases end successfully. The guy that hit us still got away too. The cops didn't even stop to help us even though there was a crumpled car, glass and smoke everywhere.

ReplyDeletei thought KCPD had a no chase policy anyways, at least in a heavy traffic/pedestrian area. i will have to ask our copper friends if that's the case.
