Will Beth and Gamble go one on one?

Here's the thing about politics folks, it's seems like the most important thing in the world when you're in the middle of it . . . But your average citizen couldn't care less.

I wouldn't call this news but there's a bit of controversy in the 4th District at-large race -- Beth Gottstein is (allegedly) putting rumors out there that Doug Gamble has the infamous Jeff Roe working for him . . . Infamous to the 2 or 3 dozen people who vote anyway.

BlogKC seems to think that this matters to people or somehow impacted the failed campaign of Becky Nace . . . I'm guessing that most people wouldn't recognize either Nace or Roe even if they were giving them a lap dance. The fact that Nace had every nasty Republican special interest behind her (ew) or that she basically stood for nothing did a lot more damage to her chances then whatever scumbag was writing her press releases.

Anyway, in response Gamble wants a one on one debate that I'm sure will impress the half dozen people who would take time out of their day to watch it. Here's what his camp released recently:

Please do not hide your lack of attendance at public forums and your failure to accept the Gamble campaign's challenge to one on one debates behind lies and allegations. If you wish to inquire about any part of the Gamble campaign, please accept our challenge to a one on one debate, where you can ask any questions you want.

I'm sure there is a difference between Gamble and Gottstein even if they both have big money campaigns and beat my mom's broke-ass efforts with a quickness.

Still, I doubt the (voting) public will ever be able to distinguish any of those differences since Beth has done an awesome job skipping most public forums and basically running for council based on the fact that she looks awesome in black.

And because she seems to be pulling it off nicely (nullus) she's got my vote, endorsement and admiration.
