We've all been burned by crooks

The following two headlines seem important but they aren't:

This bit of news is actually funny:

Additionally, information that the Midwest led increases in violent-crime seems about right considering that global warming is either making it too hot, cold or flooded to engage in any kind of meaningful crime spree for the young men of the dirty South along with East and West Coast minorities criminals.

No, the most important thing you should know about recent crime news is the ongoing motif undertaken by broadcasters which causes you to be scared shitless of Black teenagers. True, this reputation isn't completely undeserved but you'd have to admit that two nearby people beaten to death and then barbecued isn't exactly an everyday occurrence . . . Excluding of course East St. Louis.

Still, the images and news of the alleged misdeeds of Spencer Tromont Anderson, Lyndale Devor Henderson along with an underage buddy of theirs are pretty damn scary especially when you put the story in the context of a nightly newscast that pretty much only features minorities (Maria Antonia doesn't count) when they are wanted for a crime.

But as I noted previously, horrific crime like that committed against a couple of senior citizens in Marshall, Missouri isn't commonplace.

A more mundane aspect of our existence is the fact that rich people rule over this city like they own it . . . Which they do.

Case in point, because The Star and most other media organizations did not engage in any kind of significant critical analysis of the Stadium Vote we now live in a town where sports reporters aren't allowed to ask questions.

Funny, the crooks Royals management didn't try to pull stuff like this when they were demanding millions of dollars from this town. And if sports reporters in KC aren't allowed to work because they ask a few incisive questions then it stands to reason that any other journalist who asks pertinent questions about more important affairs in this town would be similarly dispatched. But that's just a silly conspiracy theory and it does not jibe with the content of the local news which tells me that I need to be afraid of every Black kid I see and nevermind about any old white guys getting rich off the stock options directly related to waging war in Iraq or a couple of other old white guys connected to KC who will receive a portion of this town's tax money for nearly a generation . . . Contrastingly, those kids (allegedly) only swipped less than one hudred dollars from the old couple whereas KC's sports francise owners made off with hundreds of millions.
