I don't know why people would opposed a strip club in South KC considering that the place is pretty much the butthole of this town. However, a federal lawsuit filed last week alleges that Kansas City violated the First Amendment rights of a company trying to open an entertainment establishment (Golddiggers) near Bannister Mall.
Frankly, I can't even see the debate here. I would think that even droves of pervs are better than the desolate area as it currently sits. But maybe I'm not thinking this thing through . . . The area is probably overrun with depressed single mothers and bringing in strippers might just pose too much of a burden. However, GoldDiggers claims that they don't wanna set the place up as a strip club but which makes this story as pointless as investing in South KC. Finally, I'd like to note that this post doesn't indicate my views about that part of town but merely reflects the past two Mayors and their policy of ignoring everything South of the Plaza.
the South Side the the butthole? Try going east of downtown sometime. The south side has big houses and lots of green space. the east side has projects and she-male hookers.
ReplyDeleteThe reason the Mayors left us alone out south is they knew that the big WalMart Distribution Center with its attendant roads and railroad needs would cut our neighborhood up and ruin the Red Bridge Road communuity. She left it to her lap dogs eddy and Brooks to do the dirty work.
