Things might just be looking up on Troost according to local blog Gone Mild.
But there is something happening on Troost, and it's positive. If you explore the neglected street, you'll see that some wonderful growth has begun, and there are things to appeal to a wide range of interests.Actually, I hope this is true because I thought that the hookers were the only thing positive on Troost and the only growth was the proliferation of illegal firearms. I'll take my good news wherever I can get it, but it's still no coincidence that I think of 'The Killers' whenever there is a discussion regarding Troost.
From what I could tell, all of the businesses that were being touted as "something positive" happening on Troost, appeared to be white owned businesses.

Wonder how many minority owned businesses were started on Troost in the last year or two and what sort of coverage THEY got?
I think I'll go ask him.
