The board of Kansas City's proposed performing arts center is considering the Lyric Theatre and its block for the center instead of an area near 16th Street and Broadway.
Soon downtown will be home only to condo/loft dwellers and upscale venues for classy entertainment and the performing arts . . . right up until the first person gets killed while they're being mugged, then it'll revert back to a wasteland.
Someday, someone will explain why this town loves throwing money at finicky rich people.
