TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! ROASTING KANSAS CITY BOULEVARD BREWING COMPANY 'BOU LOU' TECH N9NE BEER COLLABO!!!

Kansas City's most celebrated adult beverage for the Summer of 2018 is undoubtedly Boulevard Brewery's "Bou Lou" - A collaboration with hometown rapper Tech N9ne and homage to a cocktail he mixes for friends, his entourage, weed carriers and assorted groupies.

The company bills it as "a badass wheat beer bursting with pineapple and coconut."

So far, mainstream beer reviewers haven't touched it and it has been served mostly as a promotional drink at the recent Boulevardia event where it reportedly "sold out" despite the fact that it was reportedly given away to VIPs, local service industry execs and fat blonde chicks . . . Which was probably a good business decision.

Nevertheless . . .

What's frustrating it that, like all corporate offerings in Kansas City - There is a dearth of local critical review and no coverage beyond promotional hype.

Seriously, newspaper headlines noted it was "perfect" and it seems like the local foodie and booze bloggers are simply ignoring the drink because they havne't received the appropriate "pay for play" consideration which power all local food scene journalism nowadays.

Accordingly, we invite our blog community to join us in this Saturday afternoon celebration of Caribbean booze served with a hefty helping of salt . . .

CELEBRATE THE TKC BOU LOU BLVD BREWERY ROAST OF THIS FAR TOO PRICEY AND SUGARY KANSAS CITY TECH N9NE HIP-HOP BEVERAGE!!!

First off . . .

The cost for this designer beverage is far too steep. The $15 16oz. 4-pack fee threatens price out hip-hop fans who won't be able to afford bullets given such an exorbitant fee for consumer-grade beer.

A few insights about taste . . .

One could say that Bou Lou is reminiscent of relaxing drink in a tropical paradise . . . But only if the the locale was Haiti during the rebellion massacre of 1804.

Bou Lou tastes like diabetes.

Young women should be advised that Bou Lou features an unparalleled blend of pineapple & coconut with a hint of citrus that's perfect for masking date rape drugs.

Bou Lou might have been the second choice name given that "bad sugar" was already widely referenced within the urban core community.

Bou Lou started the trade war with the Chinese. They refused to take any more . . .

Rumor has it that Blvd wanted to send cold cases of Bou Lou to Puerto Rico as refreshment amid disaster relief and continued power outages . . . .  Instead, residents opted to keep the lights off and pretend like nobody was home.

In fairness, Bou Lou is much smoother than an insulin shot and only twice as expensive.

Of course we invite our blog community to taste our bitter tears and share any insights on this Kansas City Summer drink of 2018.

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. The coverage has been "complimentary" to say the least. Even chocolate ale had a few critics that weren't impressed.

    2. TKC, did you hear they've having a Bou Lou giveway?

      Winner gets a free case!

  2. Corny TKC. Almost as bad as a rapper slinging booze to his fans. Back in the 90s they told the country music stars to stop endorsing booze because the alcholism stats were going through the rough.

Hopefully, when marijuana is legal, Tech will endorse his own brand of weed. It's not addictive and harmful than liquor.

  6. Creative brewing is welcome, but flavoring beers in wrong. If the ingredient is not a contributor to the brewing process it should be legal to call it beer. It is a just favored malt beverage to be exact.

  7. Boulevard is a purveyor of dog piss.

  8. Awesome. He sells thug image death to his people, violence and disrespect to women, and now horrifying overpriced candy alcohol to any idiot who will try it.
