ReplyDeleteI lived in austin for a very long time and KC is 10x's the town austin is in almost every regard...and even moreso after it became overcrowded and priced like san francisco. It's a fun town, but very one dimensional. In fact, one of the guys that started SXSW, Louis Meyers, moved to KC to get away from the shitshow that austin had become -- and he was a lifelong austin resident who loved that place, but ended up liking KC even more now that austin sucks. He died a few years ago. RIP bro
