So it turns out Prez Trump was all talk on his youngster border crackdown and today he backed off promises amid outcry from both Republicans and Democratic Party midterm election hopefuls. The decision will have consequences for Kansas City.
There's a local angle better than a bunch of disappointed SJW crusaders planning a Plaza fountain circle protest . . .

A MASSIVE INFLUX OF ILLEGAL ALIENS FROM THROUGHOUT THE WORLD THREATENS KANSAS CITY!!!
This town is a central corridor in the U.S. for trade and labor. Meanwhile Texas & California are already working toward their own crackdowns against refugees. Meanwhile, local politicos talk tough but don't have massive state budget to battle what will be the next TIDAL WAVE OF ILLEGAL ALIEN MIGRATION that was just unleashed.
Family separation might (or might not) have been effective but it's also far too cruel and ugly to watch . . . The people who supported it looked like ghouls and there's just no way to stand up for a nasty process in a broken system. Nevertheless, the alternative WILL give locals the opportunity to make new friends from exciting places this Summer.
Sure, talk show rhetoric will whine about scary stuff like more drugs & crime . . . Which is probably correct but isn't something that we've heard over and over again.
However, there's an upside to the upcoming EPIC INFLUX as well. Some quick benefits that we want to focus on tonight:
- Cheap labor - This Summer might be the best time to get that roof fixed and save on lawn work.
- Better food - Have you tried an authentic empanada? They're magnificent.
- Talking points - Both progressives & the right wing slap fighting has been impeccable to watch as the American discourse devolves into a Punch & Judy show . . . Meanwhile, initiated political denizens can enjoy all manner of pundits pretending to care about youngsters and/or security whilst distracting the public from corporate money grabs and lamenting an immigration system that has proven dysfunctional for most of the modern era under BOTH parties.

To Hell with that. We want people to feel like they have a future in the U.S., the way this decision is playing out is to alienate the working poor and then divide the country. That is to the detriment of us all.

We’ve had this situation going on for four years now. I don’t think you can necessarily blame it on one administration or another. It started under one and is continuing under another. It hasn’t been fixed and it needs to be fixed.
