This week we've seen Kansas City gunfire and homicide at otherwise posh locations proving that there really isn't any place to hide from this town's rising murder count.
Of course we have examples, evidence and further explanation . . .
Uptown Kansas City Killing
Yes, while this was a hip-hop killing let's not forget that the Uptown is an upscale Midtown Kansas City location that mostly hosts hipsters and music aficionado rock concerts. Nearby biz is increasingly upscale as this part of town has earned MILLIONS in taxpayer subsidy and hopes to claim even more when/if the streetcar arrives.
Deadly Northland Shooting Spree Claims The Life Of Beloved Tattoo Dude
The recent deadly Northland spate of gunfire by way of an illegal Mexican alien was exceptionally shocking because it occurred in a part of town that's normally quiet. As friends of the artist mourn the tragic loss of life the Northland is quickly losing its sense of security that most deadly crime is on the other side of the bridge.
More Gunfire In JoCo Golden Ghetto
Overland Park has been home to more gunshots and Kansas City émigrés seeking lower income suburban life are taking the blame for bringing crime with them. This latest shooting pushes those complaints to the forefront this week.
Deadly Ward Parkway Gym Gunfire
Ward Parkway has undertaken MILLIONS in renovations and the Trader Joe's attracts an upscale crowd. A deadly ambush in the parking lot this week is out of character for the mall and SHOCKED residents of pricey housing and corporate offices nearby.
Graduation Gunfire In Leawood
More than any other shooting this week, double gun blasts near a posh suburban graduation ceremony shows us that violence follows Kansas City residents. Nevertheless, the scary episode educated denizens of Leawood on the real world dangers of KCMO high school life.
And so . . .
The warning is clear:
KANSAS CITY VIOLENCE CAN'T BE CONFINED TO THE URBAN CORE OR AMONG ANY DEMOGRAPHIC!!!
At the outset of Springtime we've seen innocent people suffer lethal Kansas City brutality that's spreading across the metro and challenging assumptions about the impact of so many local murders over the past couple of years that were heretofore unnoticed but now threaten the doorsteps of surrounding communities.

It's not the city or any trend du jour that so many site. It's the guns. The proliferation of affordable weapons has driven up the homicides rates for a lot of people. Joco is just among the latest.

ReplyDeleteit's not the guns. as gun ownership has skyrocketed the homicide rate has fallen. there is a cultural problem in the black community. in each of these instances, the shooters were black except in the case of the illegal alien Mexican national with apparent mental health issues. until the black community at large can admit they have a problem and are their own worst enemies the problem will never be solved.

Thanks to sLIE’s complete failure to acknowledge crime and murder, mean jeans inability to prosecute and now Frankie’s unwillingness to put criminals in jail, well, this is what we get. It’s a crying shame that the law abiding citizens pay the ultimate price for our elected officials failures to do their jobs. This is a total failure of “protect and serve” which is apart of their job duties.

I can not fathom what drives a rational person to commit murder. I've lived with my wife for decades and I haven't killed her and she pisses me off every day. If we can get along for that long why can't everyone else?

There always appears to be several common denominators with shootings and crime here in Kansas City. Why is this so and why isn't it being addressed as it should be by the leaders of all cities in the metro area?

12:52 whi.e that is correct, black people ruin entire cities and they do mass kill to the tune of hundreds per city per year. The St. Louis police chief gave a speech recently where he recounted of the 205 murders in St Louis last year, 204 involved at least one black person. A serial murderer is defined as someone that has killed at least three people. How many serial murders do you think are loose in KC right now? At least 10? What about Chicago or Baltimore? Has to be dozens. Those serial murderers are all black btw.

This is nothing more than a people problem. Sad but the vast majority of the crime is caused by black people. Probably because the majority of the single parents are a very poor role model for their kids. The only way to change this problem/situation is to change the peoples behavior. Good luck with that. The crime fighters and judicial system wants to handle these criminals with kid gloves and coddle them which does not work. It is way past time for the system to get tough on these criminals.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see stats on black kids raised by single parents vs white kids raised by single parents. I went to an all-white high school and there were plenty of kids being raised by single parents. They were all well-adjusted and didn’t commit crimes.
DeleteWomen living in poverty having multiple children with different “baby daddy” put into one of the worst public school districts in the nation. Not raised by a strong family but by the streets of “killa City” where snitches get stitches and gunfire is a daily occurrence in the warmer months.

A lot of the participants in that fight and the shooting in Leawood were white. We need to get over the stupid racism. The real issues is guns.
