TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! KANSAS CITY CHIEFS FANS FEAR HONCHO CLARK HUNT WON'T ENFORCE ANTHEM PROTEST CRACKDOWN!!!

Stringent new rules by the NFL attempt to win back patriotic fans but the response has been lukewarm at best. Local football fans remember that the KC front office allowed Star Spangled disrespect from Marcus Peters for a couple of years before they sent him packing.

We talked this subject on Wednesday with far more honest reactions and well-deserved skepticism and now KC's progressive news source of record picks up on our community conversation.

NFL Says No Kneeling During Anthem. Can That Be Enforced At Kansas City's Arrowhead?

The NFL now has a rule that requires players to "show respect for the flag and anthem" during pre-game ceremonies. Players aren't required to be on the field for the anthem but if they are, no kneeling or sitting is permitted. They must stand.

  3. it'll succeed or fall based on a league-wide policy.

in other words, if the owners can hide behind league policy with fines or other sanctions for violations, it will work.

they should have thought of that last year.

  4. The NFL is a haven for Black Lives Matter/Progressive/Antifa shit heels.

They should salute Farrakhan before each game and have all white attendees pay a "White Guilt" surtax with each beer.

    Rename the stadium after MLK.

The NFL has become a disgrace.

I hope the ratings continue to tank.

  5. Brandon Marshall.

"“I say ‘disgusting’ because of our First Amendment rights,” Marshall said. “We have freedom of speech, right? Freedom to protest? Because somebody decides to protest something, now they have to be kicked out of the country? That’s not how things should work, in my opinion.”

I agree with Mr. Marshall. He DOES have the right to kneel during the National Anthem and the owners have the right to fire him for it. He can then get a job, working at, maybe, UPS, tossing packages on conveyor belts, where, he will NOT be allowed to wear anything other than what the company tells him to. Plus, if he decides to kneel in protest of something during working hours, he will be sent further down the line in the work force, maybe to Taco Bell, where, he will wear a cardboard hat and will, again, NOT be permitted to kneel while taking orders for greasy food.

Protest all you want dumbfuck, on your own time and own dime.

Right, Chuck - and then the owners can fire everyone who protests his firing, too - how much are you willing to pay to see Clark Hunt out on the field trying to kick a football?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Those who want to kneel should first have to publicly debate a knowledgeable opponent in support of whatever it is they're protesting - and win.

If you're so hooked on the NFL, that you can find nothing at all to entertain you, other than activist, SJW pro athletes, kneeling on Sunday Afternoon, than I sympathize with your addiction and hope you get some help.

That said, I don't begrudge the Owners, if, they want to indulge their employees and let them "Protest" during the National Anthem. It's up to the owners to make the decision (It looks like they have made that decision.).

It is also, up to consumers of this product, to determine, whether or not they want to watch a those player/entertainers promote their own personal politics before the game.

Over the last two years, the decline in viewership, has prompted the owners to react to the "Protests". It looks like, you won't have to watch Clark Hunt "kick a football", but, in truth, it sounds like you would, if the players were fired for cause.

Again, the NFL is a business and the owners of the NFL will determine what the employees can or cannot do, based on viewership and advertising sales to other business' who, in fact operate under the same constraints.

    Fuck the NFL

  9. the nfl bigwigs must have done a multi-million dollar public opinion poll to find out that most fans are patriotic.

then, they likely spent tens of millions with law firms, pr consultants, social psychologists, crisis management consultants, and others to come up with the strategy of telling their millionaire employees about basic manners.

only in america in the nfl.

    ReplyDelete
  10. And of course during the anthem no fans will be on their phones, taking selfies, will all remove their silly hats, they'll close the concession stands and at the end of the anthem will no longer sing home of the CHIEFS. What hypocrites.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I agree with 11:06 a.m. Should cameras sweep the stands and point out fans who are NOT standing, hand over heart, hat off, singing the Anthem? What about those at the concession stand or in the restroom? Should there be a monitor reminding people to be a true patriot? Last but not least, those viewers at home should stand and pay respects as well. Agreed?????

  13. STAND UP, SALUTE, & SING!5/27/18, 12:59 PM

Fans are the paying customers, players are the employees. NFL players are like the workers in the restaurant or retail store that have company owners' policies to abide by. There's dress codes, health codes, and CONDUCT codes. The customers sitting in the McDonald's eating the food aren't required to have clean nails and presentable clothing like the employees. Those families shopping in the malls don't have to say "Thanks for shopping at (fill in the blank)", or "Have a nice day!", in return to the store personnel.

So, if some assholey fans want to be laggards, disrespectful, or indifferent during the national anthem, that's their choice. They're showing their bad manners while at the leisure of (sports/entertainment), er, getting separated from much of their money. Players are on the clock at their job on that field.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Why should he enforce it and violate their 1st amendment rights?

    ReplyDelete
  15. 11:06 I have to say makes the winning statement of the day. While I think the players should stand for the anthem the same applies to all located within the stadium.

As for changing the last few words of the anthem, thats disrespect by all who do it.

But as always in the end those who are yelling disrespect at some are as well being disrespectful themselves.

To NFL Owners and Arrowhead Stadium

Lets take a few previous examples of "ignorance & stupidity", that cost former businesses to SHUT DOWN, due to PUBLIC NOT Supporting the Venue

1 - former Indian Springs Shopping Mall / KCK Crime ridden

2 - Blue Ridge Shopping Mall / closed down & torn down Crime ridden area

3 former KCMO Landing Shopping Mall / Crime ridden for decades

    4 - KCMO HYPER MART 95th Bannister Rd @ I-435 / Out of business & Demolished / Crime Ridden

5 - KCMO Jazz Museum / after pumping over $100 Million Tax Dollars in 20 years total Failure (Documented) currently insolvent without more TAX Dollars pumped into to support a very few and with a failure for an agenda to be self sustaining & profitable on its own = FACT !!!

6 - Soon to be Former River Market area known as the River Quay soon to be bankrupt, thru poor regulations by city officials and already Crime Ridden as been reported

7 - Soon to be Arrowhead Stadium & Kauffman Stadium thru poor policies, and outrageous Attendance fees and a pathetic agenda to support the players and have totally forgot about the community and evidently could careless !!

8 - The good times have vanished with SPORTS , compared to the decades & years before during the 1950's 1960's 1970's era
when it was more love for the SPORT and Team, then it was about Agendas and the Stock holders !!
Also it didn't cost an arm & leg to attend and bring your kids & family to enjoy some good ol' Americana Ball Game , as in the past !!

9 - too much excuses to cover for Multi-Million Dollar incompetentent inept ball players who are more SHOW than Go and all talk and NO Walk !!

10 - Continue to make fools out of yourselves and drive the public away and your Revenue goes like a Big Sucking Sound (Ross Perot)

Good Day, we've got more productive things to do than go see your expensive ball games and pathetic mulrti-million dollar jack asses run around like mamby pamby's !!

Play the national anthem while the players are still back in the locker room waiting to come out for the game. Problem solved. We have done that as long as I can ever remember at MIZZOU Football games. That just goes to show how cutting edge and brilliant we are, and why we deserve more respect than the stupid people of this blog give.

I will be looking forward to each and everyone of you replying to sing my praises, and lobby for a much-needed pay raise and taxpayer funding increases for roads and highways as well as MIZZOU Sports!

Let us not forget this memorial day who the real American hero is: ME!
Without my dedication and genius as a MIZZOU Graduate, You people would not be able to get to your holiday celebrations and destinations.

As a late 1960's into 1970's kid, pro football players held more of a mystique and the game viewing was catharsis from the news scenes and death reports of the VN war. Now, too many overblown egos and cray crims have FUBAR'd "America's Greatest Game".

  25. Agree, watched every available game for 50 years. Last year I made a point of only watching the Chiefs, found better things to do. NFL is one step from loosing me for good.
