Kansas City police are investigating a shooting in the downtown area early Saturday. Police officers were called at 3:01 a.m. to 10th Street and Broadway Boulevard on a report of a large crowd fighting. Authorities said then a shooting was reported. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The Johnson County, Kansas, Sheriff's Office is cautioning residents about a man who eluded police after a pursuit early Saturday. The Sheriff's Office said Wellsville police were chasing the driver of a stolen vehicle on northbound I-35. Stop sticks were deployed, and the driver stopped near I-35 and Lone Elm Road, jumped out and ran off.

The girl driving a 2001 Kia was a victim of the car manufacturer and herself. She should have had everyone in the car in seat belts for safety.
ReplyDeleteOld Kia cars are the cheapest cars made on the road today. The newer models look good but it's what is under the sheet metal you have to worry about. People drive these because they are cheap cars. They look at them as basic transportation but then they don't change the oil, check the tires, make sure the lights work, replace shocks and struts and keep good brakes on it as needed you know all of the maintenance a car needs, all cars, but especially cheap cars. As long as it has a laud sound system and will get up to 80 miles per hour that's all they care about.
