Glazer: 'Tribute to Former Kansas City Comic Craig Tonkinson/Stanfords'
Craig Tonkinson was a regular area comic at Stanfords in Westport as an adult teen, he later performed in all the Kansas Stanfords locations and recently went on stage in the new one downtown Kansas City. Sadly Craig was killed last week in a tragic incident in Kansas City. Craig was killed the details are slim but he went too soon.
Craig was never a big star but a popular area comic who performed from Kansas City to L.A. and showed promise and talent. His family is having an event to honor him in Overland Park this weekend and Stanfords at 813 Walnut will have a tribute show to remember Craig this Sunday at 730 PM with comics, friends and guests all welcome.
While Tonkinson was not a national star he was a local talent who was well liked and funny when he did do his comedy in KC area clubs. The Kansas City Comedy Community is tight and he had many friends in that group and beyond. So here's to you Craig Tonkinson. Again all welcome this Sunday at Stanfords 813 Walnut downtown at 730PM for a tribute show of comedy and words to remember Craig.
