Kansas City Toy Train Streetcar Expansion Moves Forward Despite Voter Demand For Citywide Election

Here's very real proof that Democracy is dead in this town . . . As voters put the brakes on this effort that persists without a say from the electorate:

Streetcar Authority moves riverfront extension to next phase of design - Kansas City Business Journal

The Kansas City Streetcar Authority approved funding for the next phase of project development for its riverfront extension, pushing the design of the project from 15 percent to 30 percent complete. Port KC, the Streetcar Authority and the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority are coordinating the three-quarter mile extension to Berkley Riverfront Park.

If they are going to foolishly invest in this soon to be antiquated transportation system they should properly equip it to go into Kansas Cities future. Make them bullet proof.

If we vote against something the council does it anyway-streetcar expansion. If we vote for something the council decides to scale it back-road repair. Talk about contrarian behavior.
