Point out their hypocrisy until Gabriel blows his horn, and it won’t affect them a bit. We’re dealing with people who have knowingly and willingly turned their backs on any form of logic and reason. The only reason they’re winning is that sane people haven’t stepped up and put them in the rubber room where they obviously belong.

ReplyDeleteOne thing you can't do to a landlord no matter what the circumstance, and that is withhold your rent. that was mistake #1. A lot of the problem is how they manage their money. I've seen low income people in quick trip and at fast food places, that's not cheap. I've also seen them with enough fireworks to last two days, that's not cheap either.
And plenty WA$TED on akk-uh-haul, smokes, bling, nails, weaves, tats, whole family in designer logo shit head to toe, carts full of quick fix frozen food with a mountain of snacks and pop piled high. Speaking of HIGH, that too (again, the whole family)!
DeleteAnother part of not being evicted is that you 1) talk to your landlord frequently about your rental and advise them of property concerns in a positive way, 2) Don't tear up the property and keep it clean. 3) If you are responsible for outside maintenance then keep the grass cut and the snow shoveled and don't throw trash on the ground. 4) be a good neighbor to others in your area, no loud music, no fights, no junk cars in the yard, no guns or drugs. 5) pay your rent in a timely manner, try to pay a few days early. 6) If you are having money problems share them with the Landlord and have a plan to make rent payments current if you do get into a hole. 7) be a decent person.

So if people can live in houses rent free what will the result be? Look at all the property in the inner city of so little value that no one bothers to maintain it.

1:48 - @ 9:14 responding: I was a renter many years ago. I remodeled my rental after talking to the landlord into buying the materials and after two years left the house in 100% better shape than I got it. I always paid my rent five days early too.
ReplyDeleteI then after being careful with my money built a new house for my wife and I. We lived there for ten years and used our savings to build a second home and raised our kids there.
I have friends that got into the landlord business and the horror stories are terrifying. People don't pay rent on time, if they are a month overdue they typically tear up the place and steal appliances etc. One time they stole the carpet out of the entire house and took toilets which probably explains why they shit on the floor before leaving in the middle of the night. I am not stupid enough to use my money to provide a nice place for others to tear down and not pay for it.
No husband? No baby. This should be the law. Chain gang for babydaddy. Sterilize babymama and chain gang for her too. All the rest will get better.
