KCATA receives $30 million grant for Prospect MAX project

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority was awarded a nearly $30 million grant for its proposed Prospect MAX Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. The project will extend BRT 10 miles south from downtown Kansas City. The Prospect MAX BRT will run along Prospect Avenue and will include 12 buses, 27 stations, and two transit centers.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two brothers will receive compensation from the Kansas City VA Medical Center following their father's death. Craig and Mark Beemer filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the VA Medical Center in September 2017. The brothers claim a series of medication errors is what led to their father's death.
