Right now there are 26 homicides so far in 2018 compared to 24 at this date last year.
Check the numbers and the trend is impossible to deny . . .
Confirmation of this fact via police stats . . .
Accordingly, public radio bravely talks about it and we want to know what our blog community thinks about their comments . . .

Well, obviously giving more money to anti-crime political organizations year after year isn't working. Maybe switching from that plan might be a good start to change local fortunes.
ReplyDeleteKC always goes around in circles with this topic. But look at how people are being killed in KCMO. Most of them are gun deaths. Maybe targeting illegal guns with laws already on the books is the answer. Sad to see that more gun control laws are part of this conversation instead of working with the tough laws already on the books.
DeleteAt this rate we break the all time high record, I think that people are more important than stats but for years residents have warned our leaders about the trend and they always pointed out that we were below the record, now KC is catching up during an election year. Let's home we finally get some new ideas about crime prevention from candidates seeking or wanting to return to office.

If certain voters have no skin in the game, i.e., on the dole, of course they'll vote gimme, gimme, gimme from taxpayers who work and contribute. VOTE NO ON PROP 1. MAKE THE CITY WORK FOR YOUR MONEY BY SPECIAL ELECTIONS AND WORK PROJECTS SPECIFICALLY TARGETED TO IMPROVE INFRASTRUCTURE.

Start building prisons to stick these animals in and never let them out again. Bring back hard times in prison as well. When busted for a crime using a gun you lose all civil rights and are deported from the country immediately. Time to get mean and stop putting up with criminals altogether.

We have seen the homicide rate explode under Trump. Record homicides in 17, on the way to surpassing it in 18. Trump is soft on crime. I agree with 7:26PM, he promised to end it. What happened?
