Kansas City Gentrification Done Right???

Public TV offers a delightfully naive consideration of economic displacement that not only threatens the urban core but has now created intense divisions in lower Johnson County . . . Checkit:

Can You Improve an Area Without Gentrifying It?

As a traffic engineer, Jay Aber worries that some of the improvements he designs have the exact opposite effect of what he had hoped. "We try to improve the street for the people who live there," Aber said.

One way NOT to improve an area such as the Old Northeast is for Catholic Charities to bring in refugees from some Third World Conflict (while receiving a fee of $15,000 per head from the Fed. Govt.), get them a SS Number, dump them into substandard housing, and then ABANDON THEM!
NO JOBS! NO SKILLS! NO ENGLISH! NO HOPE!
However, these "good works" are ongoing and will continue as long as "Christians" have a need to feel good about themselves!

No, you cannot.

Is this the idiot who spends millions to put bike lanes where no one rides bikes. Constricting traffic. Making it difficult to pull out from side streets. He must have gotten an award from MARC and the Urban Land Institute. Killa City becomes less livable.

No, @ 2:13 - I'm the guy that teaches little bitches like you to stay home in Mommy's Basement.

^^^So you’re a pedophile? Fucking creep!

Yea..you’re a little bitch. That bitchy reply confirms it.

@4:56PM speaking of mommies, how’s yours? She still take it up the ass? She was always a slut like that!

Why would you want to keep poor people around.

Geez - this thread started out OK and then quickly degenerated into a slap-fight between basement dwellers. You guys are a real snooze - boring beyond belief.

The first post talked about the "dumping" of immigrants by so-called charitable groups. True enough. They flood an area full of poor to average folks, and then walk away. Notice they NEVER place them in areas with middle to upper class people.

Duh. Middle and upper class areas wouldn’t stand for it.
