Nordstrom Inc.'s newly announced plan to relocate from its three-story, 200,000-square-foot space at Oak Park Mall to a new 116,000-square-foot store on the Country Club Plaza in 2021 has raised a lot of questions. One of them, which the Kansas City brokerage community seems to have a handle on, is where on the Plaza the new store will be located.

  1. I don't think there is much demand for 80 shirts among teenagers. So yes, it could work.

  3. The feral yutes can just skateboard down that gentle slope from Cinemark (when they can't get into Black Panther without a chaperone) to Nordstroms. You know, to enjoy the gentle jazz paino stylings near the escalators. Or maybe a facial makeover. Both are free. Or a nice glass of Chardonnay up on 3, with that sensational pear and walnut salad.

See ya with your baby stroller and Rrada or Birken $14,000 bag in the parking lot, shoppers! According to Vogue, orange leather is the new black.

  4. Putting a band-aid on the Plaza will not change the fact that it's right next to the Ghetto. A short walk or bus ride is all it takes. The Plaza is dead as a doorknob, folks. Cover it up and let's move on.

  6. The Plaza is done folks. Once the thuggery roots in it is simply a matter of time.
