The KC Star still hides behind “editorial board” moniker. They cloak so they hate transparency and the modern way of doing things. Until they avoid cloaking and rid themselves of tokens- morale will continue to decline along with their stock.
Secret names does nothing to advance opinions... rather it causes suspicion and people avoid it like the plague.
As to be expected- the KC Star editorial board got beat by USA Today and others- pointing out Missouri schools and their districts that already arm their teachers.

ReplyDeleteIn shooting after shooting we have seen a clear need to implement controls and deterrents regarding mental defectives while fucking moron liberals seize every opportunity to demand "assault" weapons be banned and background checks tightened up even though, in near all of these mass shootings, the law permitted the purchase of weapons because of lazy ass bureaucrats and targeting the wrong folks. Again, our government doing absolutely noting to deter the possession of these weapons by screwballs while bitching to law abiding citizens that their desire to own weapons is the the problem.
We live in a state where the State Supreme Court is too damn dumb to define the difference between a violent felon and a felon and a State Legislature that won't even act to ban anyone who makes threats, implies violence, has a history of violence or a pattern of erratic mental behavior. There is not even a temporary ban in Federal Law, yet, instead of demanding actually effective measures, we play victim and helpless at the mercy of firearms we think are meaner than others. It just does not get any dumber.
A huge deterrent to violent mass killings is in our hands and instead of pushing to implement a plan we again seize the opportunity to bitch about what nasty ol' firearms should be banned. This, even though people seem to stupid to grasp that it is not particularly the firearm, but the actual round (bullet) design that tends to make a weapon more deadly than another. Today we have millions of weapons that fire the same rounds .223 and/or 556 as the AR15, but would never be banned by the libtards. We have millions of carbines and AK 47 style weapons. Ignorant people do not understand that ARs and AKs are also made in calibers like 9mm, the same caliber used by millions of handguns. These drama queens also do not grasp that carrying ten, 10 to 12 round magazines and using them is hardly slower for a shooter than a fifty or hundred round magazine. People do not understand that there are fifty round drums and magazines that fit a myriad of hand guns and rifles. If anyone thinks they are going to get control of all this or replace our responsibility to deal with the mentals, by whining about bullets and mean looking guns, they are missing the real problem.
Another serious issue is simply parents, friends, associates, lovers and relatives who lack the nads to report these nuts who make threats, imply violence in actions, are involved in incidents requiring their use of guns when they are not needed or display behaviors that send up red flags.
Lets stop the rhetoric, get our heads out of our asses and implement deterrents related to mental illness. If they are only 50 percent effective we could have stopped half of the mass shootings - 100 percent of which involved folks where profiling and/or investigation indicated a clear disposition towards mental defect.
There is an opportunity to take logical action that will have a direct impact on mass killing. My bet is it will be squandered whining about so called "assault" guns and ineffective political bullshit.

ReplyDeleteThe gun isn't the issue Sarah that you should be concerned about. What you need to be concerned with is how children are being raised today. I remember a time as a student if we kids had said we are going to do a walk out not only would the school tells us no we are not but our parents as well would have said you better not do that if you know what's good for you.
Parents are not being the type of parents they should be. Somewhere a few years back parents decided to be best friends with their children instead of neutering guiding adults raising children to show respect and become contributing members of society.
Kids nowadays tell the parents how it is going to be and thats is where a lot of the fault lies. When school isn't being canceled due to bad weather so the kids can eat that should send out a message that creates shock waves through the community but as you noticed nobody gave a damn. School were never designed to be used as a place to feed and see that our children receive the required nutrients they need. That is the responsibility of the parents. But we are quickly becoming a society where too many think everything should be for free and someone else is responsible for raising the kids.

Why do they persist in simply taking their marching orders and scripted narrative direct from their national affiliate and repeating it verbatim with a teleprompter-reading Ken/Barbie sitting in a KCMO studio?
There are so many glaring discrepancies evident in the Parkland FL school shooting that the "official script" has already begun to fall apart.
Why did the FBI fail to act when specifically warned, at least twice, that Cruz would do something like this?
Why have multiple student eyewitnesses reported there were multiple shooters present?
Why has one student been interviewed, reporting that she walked with Cruz while evacuating the high school, that he had no weapons, and shots were being fired from elsewhere while they walked?
If Cruz was the shooter, how in the world did he walk away from the scene unarmed without being detained?
Why was student David Hogg (son of retired FBI agent) nonchalantly video interviewing students about their hate for Trump and desire for gun control while the shooter was reportedly stalking the hallways? How come they weren't afraid for their lives and trying to hide and be quiet?
Why did 4 Broward County deputies refuse to engage the shooters, remaining outside the buildings, as the shots continued?
If you look at the publicly available evidence so far, it's obvious that the story being peddled by corporate media is at best a misrepresentation, at worst a likely whole fabrication. Why is Sarah Smith not standing for the truth? Is she just content to be a sell-out, receiving generous compensation and a self-important title for serving as a news propaganda puppet?
