Good job Cain. You are only worth what someone is willing to pay you. We got your prime and and a couple of World Series runs. They get your decline. Better them than us. Thanks for the memories anyhow.

He gets the money based on past results. He is literally going to get paid for what he did for the Royals. What he is going to do over the next 5 years will not be worth that much money. Kind of like Alex Gordon’s contract.

Speaking of Gordon, I've always said that the best team you can field would be Alex plus any 8 other guys.
